Also, you can use it to ritual summon "Odd-Eyes Gravity Dragon" which not only bounce back all your opponent's spells or traps back to their hand, but they would also had to pay LP in order to use ANY card effect.

Kenshin Himura- Here are the balances. For Odd-Eyes Rituel, you have to tribute Pendulum Monsters which is quite clunky and challenging. For Odd-Eyes Gravity Dragon, it has great anti-spell/effect and deters your opponent, but it has no actual protection for those effects.

The serum for cap has a few names, serum x, the super soldier serum, and weapon 1 designation advanced serum, that last one is cool because of the fact that according to that comic line the whole weapon x wolverine debacle was because they couldnt replicate their success in cap as the serum was destroyed leading to 9 other expirements leading to wolverine, and if you believe deadpools telling, he was weapon 9, all to make a success ewual to cap

Yes however it was also revealed that Deadpool is actually a by-product of the Weapon X program since his healing factor were in fact grafted from the DNA of both Wolverine and Sabertooth. And then came the retcon that said the original super soldier was in fact Nick Fury not Steve Rodgers but I'm gonna stop here because that's a rabbit hole that's best left alone.

@@HayabusaSensei yea its crazy how sometimes his cancer is his mutant power, others like with the weapon program uts the genes of a few different mutants to give him that regen increased reflexes and such to make a serum better than caps, plus its retconned whether hes weapon 9 weapon 11 or weapon 20, and his clone with a normal face is like weapon 21, then you got nick fury being weapon 2 with his son getting the abilities by proxy, the super soldier program is crazy convoluted, like its even hinted that rocket raccon was actually weapon 13 or so from when they messed with animals Edit: wasnt nick fury the second one as his serum was an attempted remaking of caps serum but they didnt have the final part as the "recipe" was lost which is why he had to constantly take shots of it or else he would age super rapidly and die

One ritual deck did succeed before archetypes. The demise OTK deck during the GX era. Demise, king of Armageddon had the ability to wipe out your opponent's field which combined with giant centipede and metamorphasis into cyber twin dragon could allow you to easily OTK the opponent.

Fun fact tekki, nekroz are based off of synchro monsters like trishula dragon of the ice barriers. Also nekroz will never go down in price without reprint. The set they were in short printed them so much trishula was like 300$ or something higher then that during nekroz format.

I had made myself a yugioh deck and it included my Black Luster Solider in it and someone stole my entire deck. I was freaking out after I realized it was gone because that was my main deck and I never fully replaced it all. Know this is a year old video and this comment will never be seen, but Nekroz is a pretty budget deck since they reprinted the major cards like Trishula, Brionac, and Unicore and the Impcantation card engine is a great addition. Only real expensive cards, especially with the new Master Rule in April, are stuff like Toadally Awesome and Bahamut Shark for how strong they are in the Extra Deck. Bunch of card shops should have a good bit of the Duel Power reprints in the bargain boxes.

I'ts a blue-eyes white dragon retrain that has 4,000 atk, 0 defence, can't be targeted or destroyed by card effects, and deals DOUBLE piercing damage! And he isnt even a very good card! Back when I played Duel Academy on the GBA I created 2 decks centered around rituals. They were stuffed with all the special effect cards that allowed you to pull either the monster or the spell card (or both). It was fun. And then I benched it for a deck centered around Destiny Board because that one gave you the most points when you actually won by activating it.

Remember the "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys" from "Flaming Eternity"? In November she gets a whole archetype featuring not only Links but also Rituals within the pack "Hidden Summoners". I am eager to try some of those cards out, since I always liked rituals. In fact, "Black Luster Soldier" is one of my favorite cards ever. Also, for the sake of trivia facts, "Magician of Black Chaos" never had that code on its bottom to use as a password. Anyway, I really enjoyed the video. My favorite ritual monster is Evigishki Levianna. It’s a watery dragon ritual monster that’s part of the Gishki archetype which is based on the little mermaid. It’s the predecessor to Nekroz and technically inferior but I always found the card art of the Gishki cards cooler. Fun fact Gishki means ritual in Japanese.

As someone who played necroz back in the day, they are an awesome deck. Insanely consistent, with powerful and punishing effects and an awesome lore in the duel terminal lore. Nowadays with the help of some really good generic ritual support that just came out recently, they've been better off. However due to the current ban list they really can't compete competitively right now. By the by Tekking check out the Duel terminal lore, it's really cool stuff. The lore of neckroz is that they are the survivors of the gishki tribe who mostly got whipped out during the war with the ilswarm and later the goddess Sophia. They channel the power of immensely powerful dead mosters ( like the three dragons of the ice barrier ) into themselves using the neckroz mirror in order to fight

Nekroz have a tragic backstory (LORE). They are really cheap now however, a lot of cards are on the banlist. (All cards are compared the back then) Incantation monsters are a must for any ritual deck.

My friend's sister usually used Time Wizard to summon Crab Turtle, I fused to make Empress Judge and kept attacking directly and another friend kept the effect of his warriors when he summoned Performance. Well my favorite Ritual Card/s on Yu-Gi-Oh are 1. *Relinquished* -that card looks like came out from H.P. Lovecraft monster mythos especially when it fused with *Thousand Eyes Idol* to Fusion Summon *Thousand Eyes Restrict* 2. *Super War Lion* -He looks like an unused form on Altered Beast which is one of my favorite and damn his artwork on either both of his ritual card or his ritual spell card are cool like he is very ready to rip someone into pieces and bonus points for the epic red hair/mane he got on the artwork 3. *Fortress Whale* -This monster looks like an Ancient Weapon that can decimate a nation if it falls on the wrong hands

Favorite ritual monster is easily Black Luster Soldier. My very first cards were from the Yugi-evolution starter deck and my friend got the Kaiba-evolution deck so we both got started playing the game with BLS and Blue-Eyes as our ace-cards. Sidenote on ritual monsters: I feel like if Takahashi/Konami had more foresight they would have made the fusion-deck the extra deck from the start so you could keep your ritual monsters there. Then they could also have included all the various monsters that could only be summoned from the hand or deck with a specific spell-card like Berserk Dragon under the ritual mechanic. Basically, if a monster requires magic and some special condition/ingredients to be summoned, then it should be a ritual monster and placed in the extra deck. That way you only need to draw the ritual spell and in some cases unique ritual materials to summon them. I feel like that would have made them much more viable.

My favorite Ritual monsters are the Demise and Ruin series/archetype. Demise, King of Armageddon and Ruin, Queen of Oblivion are a part of it. Basically, you want to ritual summon the weaker ones to be used to make and protect the middle and high tier forms, especially since the high tier forms have more effects that can be done if ritual summoned using only ritual monsters.

I think the closest we got to a character who regularly used ritual monsters is Alexis/Asuka from GX who I believe used them in later seasons and then used them again when she came back for Arc-V. Which is a shame really because I remember her being a pretty underutilized character, and thus with her the Ritual Monster style didn't get to shine with someone who specialized with them.

In the tag duel academy game I had a deck based around a ritual monster. If the core of the deck is a ritual summon then that shit is op. You can have other monsters support the monster, help you draw the right cards etc etc. There was even a card that gave your other cards more stars so you could summon the monsters even more easily. Check out Demise, King of Armageddon and The Masked Beast, they're awesome. And you can sacrifice monsters from your hand so you can sweep the field and surprise the enemy with a special summon at a critical moment.

Ruin, Reshef, Shinato and Prediction Princess Tarotrei are in a deck I made SPECIFICALLY to use them. I LOVE those 4 cards , the first 3 being fron my older days. Ruin was my girl on Yugioh GX for the ps2, since she could beat down on Jaden's goshdarn summons, and it was fun! She was fun to use! I am so SO happy she got her own archetype. Also END OF ZA WARUDO. P.S. Psychics started on 5ds tekking. They fun.

If I remember correctly the real middle finger in Forbidden Memories was that you could "fuse" monsters together (without Polymarization) and use the most random weak ass cards to create the powerful cards you couldn't afford to buy with star chips.

All the Cyber Angels are really good RITUAL MONSTERS to use! And Revendread Slayer, Prediction Princess Tarotrei, Evigishki Gustkraken, Saffira, Queen of Dragons, and Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon are also really great for those kinds of decks! The new RITUAL MONSTER in Vrains is named Cyberse Magician! And as a kid I always wanted the card B. Skull Dragon that was in the show and summoned by both Yugi and Joey at the Duelist Kingdom as a symbol of the close freindship!

There are a few newer ritual monsters that requires you to use the exact amount of the levels to summon. My favourite ritual is elemental mistress doriado, I like how she looks, and her effect is useful for Shaddolls.

Not sure if you ever got around to building nekroz, but's it very affordable now. I remember back in 2015 when the deck was tier 1, brionic costs 150 a copy lol. Very fun deck! There are new ritual support cards too that can be played with nekroz (i.e. Impcantations). Now nekroz isn't competitive anymore (it was a little bit back in 2019 actually), but it's still worth trying out. You could probably build some kind of anti-meta nekroz deck.

Well, it depends. Nekroz have a monster called Unicorn (I think), it's limited, but if you summon it, your opponent's Extra Deck monster's effects are negated. There's Nekroz of Trishula, which can banish 3 cards, Valkyrie which can be diacarded to skip the battle phase. Overall a Nekroz deck might not be competitive, at least I presume that not too many people would say that, however with a few Impcantations and the new Pot of Indulgence (which is still in Japan now, so you can't use it yet), the deck looks kind of sexy.
