Thank you Eric! The governing body has so much to answer for. Before my son showed me the false teachings of Watchtower last year, I was so indoctrinated that it was paramount to insanity. I feel free as a bird now from the burdens of the watchtower. They heap burdens on men and women just like the Pharisees in Jesus' day. Jesus knows his sheep and I'm thankful that I am a sincere individual who wants to do what is right and glad I was open to my son's showing me real truths.

@DaisyLarose He's not insulting you. (The capital letters appear in the JW translation.) He's showing what encouragement God speaks to excommunicated people. He's applying that scripture to say that some JW disfellowshiping is unjust. They think they're shaming you in Jehovah's name, to His glory, but He doesn't agree with it. He's saying it will result in shame for JW leaders, but joy for the ones that were unjustly excluded "for Jehovah's name." This shows three things: 1. God sees what's happening and He cares about excluded ones. 2. We should look for the good intention in people's words. 3. If we want to encourage people from God's Word, it helps if our application is given in more than a telegram style. Some of us have difficulty understanding when there's very little to go on. Put your light on the lampstand, so that it can be seen by all.

Jesus called them together and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. BUT you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. Matthew 20:25-26 Compare numbers 11 Two men remained in the camp, one named Eldad, and the other named Medad, and the spirit rested on them; they were among those registered, but they had not gone out to the tent, and so they prophesied in the camp. 27And a young man ran and told Moses, ‘Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.’ 28And Joshua son of Nun, the assistant of Moses, one of his chosen men,* said, ‘My lord Moses, stop them!’ 29But Moses said to him, ‘Are you jealous for my sake? Such wise words. It should also be remembered that at the time The Lord was speaking of the Parable to His disciples and those around them that He would have hoped that some of them would have had an understanding of it's meaning which could not have been the Watchtowers understanding some 2000 years later. There is also the example of such a faithful and discrete slave in the story of Joseph and the Pharaoh that would have been know to them at that time. Joseph being appointed by his master (Pharaoh) to distribute food in due season (during the forth coming famine) and on returning finding Joseph to have been a faithful and discrete slave put him in charge over all his possessions.

What about the verse in John 21:15 The verse implies that the master does have a direct control over the type of food that the slave is distributing The food is always truthful and nutritional Look at the kind of food that the GB has been distributed over the years and make your own deduction

@anonymousprofess I don't agree with all of that. You are issuing a blanket statement. Some of the things they have said are correct. And they do feed their sheep - name another organization that feeds to that extent? Because you simply don't agree with some of the doctrine you throw the baby out with the bathwater -- that's not clear thinking. I don't think I could believe in a God that calls himself "love" if he tortured people for eternity that punishment is past their transgressions. It's not just. So I don't believe in Hellfire and I can easly see that the HF doctrine is not correct. They have that right. They have other things right as well. However I see your point, much is wrong. Very sad.

Ironically, my study of a WT article back in 1997 led me to believe that Mt. 24:45-47 could not be used to support the 'appointment' of the faithful and discreet slave in 1919. I can't remember the exact article, but it was clear to me that their application of those two chapters did not support a 1919 date for a fulfillment of ANY those verses. So then, I could not in good conscience ever again work in a ministry that pointed people to dedicate their lives to serving the WTB&T society. There were other problems with the organization that I saw while serving as an elder for many years, particularly when struggling with judicial decisions that affected the lives of many of my brothers and sisters. Fantastic work on this topic, as usual my brother!

The four outcomes are very important: For Christian leaders. That is why Jesus washed his disciples' feet, the more you are in charge the more humble one must. Being a pope, Bishop. Elder, Pastor , etc. The grade of humility required is equal to your responsibility. unfortunately the Governing Body members are huge narcissistic, power-thirsty men.

You got it right, Eric. I never could buy Watchtower's explanation from day one. They would always just throw in the reference to the scripture to back up their authoritarianism, similar to the Catholic Church's reference to St. Peter as the 'Rock'. It is, indeed, a parable for all Christians, encouraging them to be 'faithful and wise' when following our Lord and Master, which leads to greater rewards. Quite simple, actually.

Dear brother that was an astonishing video. I remember you in District Convention as a special guest in the Carribean. What you exposed in the organization it's a similar way of thinking that you could expect to find in a multinational company, to obey without think and resulting in tremendous problems. They never accept their faults and that's why can't guide a flock and resulting in division and lot evil things. At the end the org. don't care for each one of the member and the only air you find in the organization it's extremely dangerous, very far away of the congregation of the first century. Definitely Jesus would said them: "He will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his place with the hypocrites. There is where his weeping and the gnashing of his teeth will be". Thank you!

One of my favorite things about Eric's videos is that I can shed all those Watchtower teachings that had made me feel so "dense". Imagine, me, "raised in the truth" and having read all the prescribed books, brochures, and magazines, and yet I was constantly glued to the wording in the paragraph when I would make a comment at meetings. Any deviation from the Watchtower wording would have landed me in trouble and subjected me to "correction". It required walking a real tight-rope to make my comments "good thinkful". (A "1984" book reference.) I couldn't keep it straight. And the "good thinkful" understanding would change and was constantly updated. This video makes so much more sense,... they were four PARABLES. Duh.

Love the fact that there is more future in front of us, who knows what will develop. (Keep on the watch) As of now I feel I am not a chosen one or of the body of Christ. I hope to be one of those on earth welcoming Jesus’ rule. Rev 7: 9-15. A tent (earthly) is put over them. This is after the body of Christ has been completed. Also Rev 21:1-4 New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven. God’s tent is with mankind (earth). Who knows maybe some are chosen ones on earth. We don’t know the details of his government and how it will be run. You can privately have ideas in your heart and be willing to change when revealed. Also before Jesus left, he gave an illustration of a tree Matt 13:31,33 The kingdom gave shelter to the birds who try to steal the seeds, (another parable) possibly your spirituality, while being protected by this religious protection. Birds get real bad.rev 18:2 Babylon full of hated birds. We were warned a lot of our persecution would be these birds in the name of religion. False christs. The truth about everything will be revealed, then you will find out if you built your faith on sand (man)or rock (Jesus). Thanks for listening to my rants, unless you DF people for their ideas. JWs have some truth but some birds mishandled it.

No doubt that i believe they have most of the right ideas, however it was always KEY elements that my spirit could never absorb completely, and this has had me in a suspended nature for most of my life, not wanting to continue to deep in the faith, yet the longing was there but yet i was never able to fully accept anything else outside of the org.. i never got baptised, and i want a baptism but not into that org. so you can imagine the internal war constantly.. Buy you have pretty much empty out of lot of baggage in my head through your talks..

I’ve asked the following questions on this channel a couple of times and elsewhere, but no one wants to answer me… For someone who is returning after many years away, where do they go? Who do they call? With so many leaving the organisation and all the changes, does it even still exist? Is it a different organisation now or are there breakaway groups that are safer to be with? Are people just staying home and worshiping there own way? After listening to this video, does it even matter which denomination of Christianity you turn to after all? Is the internet the new ‘church’? Will someone please give me a piece of bread? 🙏🏼

Hi CjB. Eric answered you two days ago when you asked this. It is under the video "Exposed" with a picture of Babylon the Great. Let us know if you can't find it. Speaking for myself, I'm so glad to be away from Watchtower. But, the same as you, I want to worship Jehovah and to have spiritual companions with the same hopes and appreciation that I have. There are more online groups than you may realize. Personally, I am sickened by false teachings, even when there are kind individuals within a group. No one can make the choice for you. And the teachings of a group are not always immediately apparent. Sometimes, as with Watchtower, you only discover all the beliefs held in a group after visiting a few times.

I just viewed some of what Splane said. Thirty seconds into the video, Splane distorts what Jesus said. He said the faithful and discreet slave was to provide "spiritual food" at the proper time, and Jesus never said spiritual food. He said "food" because the parable was not about spiritual food but faithfulness and readiness. So, he distorts that verse to fit his doctrine, which they often do.

🙄👉🏽Another 1914 misnomer: Regarding the WT's unscriptural "MEMORIAL", Apostle Paul states: "For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you PROCLAIM the Lord’s death UNTIL HE COME" - 1 Corinthians 11: 26 (BSB). 🤔 So.....if Jesus returned INVISIBLY in 1914 as JWs teach, then why are they still proclaiming His death🤷🏽‍♀️?

Because a parable is a fictional story designed to make a point, we must be careful, I think, not to pay too much attention to the details. The parable of the faithful and discrete slave is, as you rightly point out, one of several used to illustrate the same point. I do not think that we should take so much notice of the "appoint him over all his possessions" part of the slave prophesy. This is simply used to denote the successful steward or slave - I do not think that this means all faithful Christians will actually rule with Christ, any more than the virgins parable means that faithful Christians will have vessels full of oil. This aside, I fully agree with everything you have said.

Thank you for your biblical explanations of who the Faithful and discreet really is. I do believe that the Slave prepresents all believers in the Faith would be feeding each other spiritual truths as out lined in God's word of Truth. My question is as it meantions that when Jesus returns if he finds the slave faithful in feeding each other , then he would appoint the slave who are the body of all believers would appoint over all his domestics world wide.. Would'nt the domestics be the nonbelievers who are yet to hear the truth of God's word. As Jesus Christ told His disciples and all believers that they were to go there for and teach the gosple to all the nations. Would'nt that be the same continuation of work the preaching and the teaching work that would need to be done just before Jesus would return which I beleieve will be in our genreation.

@maryshepherd4915 • Good question. The parallel account in Luke 12:41-48 mentions four different outcomes. Only some of the disciples of Christ are judged as the faithful and wise steward or slave. The domestics would be all the slaves within his household, Christendom. All Christians are his domestics, but they only fall into one of the four categories Luke mentions when Jesus returns to judge.

@@BeroeanPickets Thank you for your reply. You know that governing body of JW's claim that they are the Faithful and discreet slave. As you brought out scripturally they really couldn' be , because Jesus set up the Faithful, and disceet slave before he left to go back to heaven 2, 000 years ago. You know many religious organizations believe that they are the faithful and discreet slave. Jesus said that when he returned would he really find the faith in the world, and he said who really is that Faithful and discret slave whom his master has appointed over his belongings. We know that the Apostles were the appointed faithful discreet slave, because Jesus said to Peter if you love me feed my sheep/ lambs And they did refere to themselves as a governing body, but they are not here today. There is no place in scriptures that says that there would be an appointed governbody the same as the Apostles in these last days that we are living in.. It seems logical to me that since the elders that is faithful eldesr are to shepherd the congregation of God would the Fathful and discreet Slave, In actuality we are as followers of Christ Jesus are to be a Faithful Slave. The things about the JW's is in my opinion the govenbody rules as I call it a religious dictatorship which disturbs me a great deall . If you do not believe and accept their teachings they will shun and eventually disfellowship. I call is religious dictatorship. Jesus taught freedom of speach and freedom of worship. Many things the JW's teach through a indepth study I have found that they twist scriptures to support their beliefs. It is so important that we worship the Father in spirit and in truth and listen to the Helper the Holy Spirit which I beleive to be Jesus Christ who ia the way the truth and the life . We must be taught by him. They do not even have the name of God correct even though they know that the Hebrew transalation the four letters theTetrammoton is YHWH. they admit it is Yahweh[Yahwah yet their explanation for still not using and taking on his name Jehovah is because the people are more familiar with the name Jehovah. How in the world can they say that they are worshiping the Only True God in Truth when they are not teaching the truth of his more correct name. Especially when it means salvation knowing and using his name. At Jeremiah chapter 23 The True God complained that the false teachers , and false prophets, false shepherds were trying to get his people to forget his name. What better way to do that but then to give our Heavenly Father a false name. I use to be a JW for many years question a lot I even asked how can you say that the name Jehovah is God's correct name when the Tetarammoton iS YHWH the letters J,and V are not in the tetgrammoton. I new something was very wrong, and when they started abusing the sheep by usung dicator methods ,and the shunning . I had to leave. I was very happy to see your channel. You know your scriptures. You know since I left the organization I progressed so much spiritually in the passed ten years than I did with them for the thirty years. God's spirit was really up on me and I was moved to write many bible base sermons and get them out to the people. I beleive that your indepth understanding and logical way of explaining and teachingof the scriptures God is finishing out my training.. May God continue to Bless your work.

FYI: This is the latest on the chronology edge. FYI. This note was sent to Damien Mackey who deals with ancient chronology. But everyone should be aware of the correct timeline, especially Jehovah's Witnesses. FYI. Have a very pleasant and safe day! ===== Dear Damien, Thanks for your note on chronology. But historical issues have absolutely nothing to do with astronomy. An astronomical date is the most direct means for absolute dating of an ancient event if enough connections can be made. That can be somewhat tricky sometimes. But once you get just one good absolute date in history, you can use that date to date every other event, particularly when you apply Biblical history. Every event in the Bible from the creation of Adam to the Holocaust is dated in the Bible using "relative" chronology. You only need one good absolute date to date the entire timeline. Of course, once you establish that one good date, if there are other events that create a good absolute date, then the timeline should be harmonized and confirmed. So the more good the absolute dates you have in the timeline, the better it is. A good example is the date of the Exodus. 1947 begins the final jubilee period of 49 years for the Jewish covenant. The Jewish covenant is a period of 70 jubilees or 3430 years. If 1947 is the 70th jubilee, then the covenant would end in 1996. 3430 years earlier dates the beginning of the covenant in 1435 BCE. The Exodus would be the first celebrated jubilee of the covenant 49 years later in 1386 BCE. So based on 1947, an absolute date, we can provide an absolute date for the Exodus in 1386 BCE. Of course, we would now want to compare that absolute date to what we have available from archaeology. What does that show us? A. For instance, Kathleen Kenyon claims that the Israelites destroyed Jericho sometime between 1350-1325 BCE. That would date the Exodus sometime between 1390-1365 BCE. 1386 BCE falls within that range, and so we have our first confirmation for this dating. B. This was the time of Amenhotep III. Manetho claims, historically, that the pharaoh of the Exodus was Amenhotep III. So that's another confirmation that we are looking at the correct date. C. The KTU 1.78 astronomical text dates a palace fire at Ugarit in 1375 BCE. This was reported to Akhenaten in his 12th year. Thus we can date the 12th of Akhenaten to 1375 BCE. This means his first year 11 years earlier occurred in 1386 BCE, the same year 1947 dates the Exodus. This is a good reference because the pharaoh of the Exodus dies in the Red Sea and thus there was a new pharaoh the same year of the Exodus. So now astronomy has given us an absolute confirmation that Akhenaten was the pharaoh that survived the 10 plagues. D. An amazing combination of circumstances can allow an archeologist to date the specific year of a destructive level. That is, if there are stored grains found from a destructive level, the presumption is that those grains were harvested that year and so the age of the grain should reflect the specific year for the destructive level. Otherwise, radiocarbon-14 dating is not that accurate. That circumstance occurred at Rehov, City IV destructive level. Stored grains revealed the highest probability date of 871 BCE for that event. That level is linked with the invasion by Shishak. Shishak's invasion is well confirmed by archaeology, including a testament by Shishak himself who specifically mentions destroying Rehov. New RC14 methodology is specific enough to point to a narrow range of dates of less than 10 years! The peak points to the very middle of the range. The mid-point date is 871 BCE. So 871 BCE is presumed to be accurate, give or take 5 years. But using that date, we can introduce Bible chronology since Shishak invaded in year 5 of Rehoboam, which is year 39 of Solomon. This would date the 4th year of Solomon in 906 BCE. The Exodus is 480 years earlier. When we add 480 to 906 BCE we get the Exodus date of 1386 BCE. The exact same date we've established based on the above references! E. But this dating presents a problem for the Neo-Babylonian and Persian timelines. The return from Babylon is another jubilee event in the Bible, exactly 19 jubilees after the Exodus. 19 jubilees is 931 years (19 x 49 = 931). When we subtract 931 from 1386 BCE, it dates the return in 455 BCE not 537 BCE, where it is commonly dated. That's a discrepancy of 82 years. This was pointed out by Martin Anstey in 1913 in his "Romance of Bible Chronology," but the 82 fake years from the Persian Period were not identified. We have since identified those fake years and removed them from the timeline, allowing us to date the 1st of Cyrus back to 455 BCE. This correction involves two other astronomical events. A total eclipse occurring in the 1st year of the Peloponnesian War dated to 403 BCE, and an eclipse over Persia which happens in the early spring during Xerxes' invasion in 424 BCE. This confirms the date of the Battle of Marathon in 434 BCE, the same year Darius I dies in his sixth year and the same year the temple was completed at Jerusalem. The temple takes 21 years to build beginning the 1st of Cyrus. Add 21 years to 434 BCE and you get 455 BCE as the confirmed date for the 1st of Cyrus. F. But another critical astronomical text confirms this dating. This text is the VAT4956. It dates year 37 of Nebuchadnezzar II to both 568 BCE and 511 BCE. The double dating in the text suggests that 511 BCE was the original date for year 37 of Nebuchadnezzar II and that 568 BCE is a spurious date. With that presumption, year 23 would fall in 525 BCE. Year 23 is the year of the last deportation out of the land of Israel followed by a 70-year period of exile. That would mean the Jews were to return in 455 BCE (525 - 70 = 455 BCE). So we can correct the dating of the Neo-Babylonian Period by this one text that has double dating in it. But this is not the only diary that does this! G. Another astronomical text in the form of a diary that has double-dating in it, also dated to the reign of Nebuchadnezzar II is a text called the Strm. Kambyses 400 (SK400). It records two eclipses during the same year, a 50% partial eclipse in Tammuz followed by a total eclipse 6 months later in Tebet. Similar eclipses occur every 18 years with slight variation. So these two eclipses occur in 523 BCE, year 7 of Cambyses from the revised chronology. But these two eclipses also occur 18 years earlier in 541 BCE (523 + 18 = 541). The problem is, the specific times these eclipses occur are recorded in the text. Though the eclipses occur during the same months and reflect the same intensities, the eclipses in 523 BCE are 4:46 (4 hr 46 min) apart. The eclipses in 541 BCE are 2:46 apart. Per the text, the eclipses must occur 2:46 apart. So the text points to 541 BCE for "year 7" of some Persian or Babylonian king. Of course, when we apply 541 BCE to the 7th year of Nebuchadnezzar II, it matches year 37 falling in 511 BCE per the VAT4956. So the VAT4956 and the SK400 are like a matched pair of "diaries" with double-dating back to the same timeline. So at this point, it is a closed case of recovering the original chronology. We have secular evidence of the original timeline, not that it wasn't quite easy to dismiss the extra 82 years from the Persian Period. H. Finally, how does the reduction of the Neo-Babylonian Period by 57 years affect the Assyrian Period? Well, getting back to Shishak's invasion in 871 BCE, archaeologists using the fake timeline have dated him to 925 BCE based upon a single eclipse occurring on June 15, 763 BCE. This represents a 54-year discrepancy with the radiocarbon-14 dating. But in the midst of this reference is a lot of confusion. Archaeologists trying to link Solomon's rule to 970-930 BCE are fighting with other archaeologists who are trying to date Solomon to 910-870 BCE. But those using 925 BCE to date Shishak do not use archaeology. Archaeology, for instance, shows the end of the Philistine pottery period c. 950 BCE. This would date David's rule from 950-910 BCE and Solomon from 910-870 BCE, with Shishak's invasion occurring in 871 BCE. The dating of Shishak to 925 BCE, however, is entirely based on the eclipse occurring in 763 BCE. The Assyrian eponym says the eclipse occurs in month 3, the month of Sivan. June 15, 763 BCE is not the standard third month. That is, when the spring equinox occurs on March 28, the first month of the year that would end on the 15th of the month would occur from April 15 to May 15. Solar eclipses occur on the very last day of the month. Thus an eclipse occurring on June 15 would fall in month 2. Month 2 would be from May 15 to June 15. So the eclipse on June 15, 763 BCE is actually a month-2 eclipse and not a month 3 eclipse. Our immediate response would be to check to see if there is an actual month-3 eclipse that might date Shishak closer to 871 BCE. When we look we find a month-3 eclipse occurring on July 17, 709 BCE, some 54 years later. That would lower Shishak's invasion from 925 BCE to 871 BCE. So the actual true third-month eclipse that should have dated the Assyrian eponym now confirms the absolute date for Shishak in 871 BCE, which is also now confirmed quite nicely by archaeology and radiocarbon-14 dating. In conclusion, any historical references that might conflict with the well-established original timeline are no longer of any issue. Regards,

Some of what he said was going to happen during their lifetimes. The rest would not, though they didn't know it. But look at it this way. If you're twenty years old now, and were told that you had to get a certain tattoo, because when Christ comes back, only those with that tattoo will get everlasting life. Would you get it now or wait? What if you were told the date of his return and it turned out not be for another 10 years? You have 10 years to get the tattoo. What's the urgency? Then, the week after you learn of this requirement, you're in a car accident and end up in a coma. You languish in the coma for 10 years and only come out of it when the Lord returns. We tend to forget that the urgency is not only tied to the date of the Lord's return, which is unknown, but to the date of our death, which is also unknown, but for the vast majority, a darn side nearer than the Lord's return has turned out to be.

Your heart is in the right place wanting to point out Watchtowers false teachings but trying to do that is like telling a faithful trusting wife her husband is cheating on her. Even if you have pictures/video to prove it she will either refuse to look at them or say “that’s not him or you photoshopped it”. Like her the JW’s are very faithful and trusting to the Watchtower. Therefore even when confronted with the truth their walls of defense will go up and you’ll be labeled as a .... you guessed it, an apostate. The best way to reach a JW is first, prayer. Ask God to open up their hearts to allow your words to be a seed. Stand back and let God water that seed. It’s not our job to change hearts, it’s Gods job. We can be the planters but He needs to do the work. Change comes from the inside out, not the outside in. If you feel like God is using you as a messenger, pray and ask what you should do. Let God lead you. The words will flow from you like water from a faucet. God bless!!!
