But I thought that was the point. She's has good intentions,and is right about things,but the way she does it,it's obnoxious and annoying. The backstory of her doesn't change that,it just tell us why,not justifie it.

It *was* the point. She’s not suppose to be arrogant or have an inflated sense of self-importance, she just wants to be helpful but does it in a way that seems condescending, this causes Gumball to get upset and do what he does in the episode, because Gumball is not suppose to be the better person in this episode. Jay just fundamentally missed the point of that scene by taking it more seriously than it was made to be, which made him mischaracterize Carmen for a moment. He tries to paint Carmen as a condescending prick by talking about how the choices she suggested are harmful or that she should remove parts of the menu, which she cannot do. He’s trying to add real-world logic to Gumball by talking about how he as a cat needs meat, even though he’s never been shown to be unhealthy with eating vegetables throughout the series. He keeps trying to victimize Gumball even though he’s supposed to be painted in a bad light for most of the episode. He gets bothered by her talking to him more than Allen this episode, which doesn’t make sense since he isn’t a focus character this time. He lambast Carmen for being overbearing, then uses Nicole from the Meddler as an example for a good use of overbearing people in the story, even though these two episode were going for different messages (in which Nicole was arguably the worse of the two because the only reason Nicole wasn’t painted in a bad light at the end was because Gumball embarrassed himself in public so she had to comfort him on the spot & because she was at points helpful to Gumball). He gets upset when Gumball proves Carmens points about how he needs to improve himself and says Carmen & Gumball are equally undesirable even though Carmen has never done anything close to what Gumball usually does. He’s trying so hard to get mad that the show isn’t showing a message correctly that it never tried to present. Usually he’s on point with his reviews, but this just seemed like a big L for him.

The problem i have is that while Allen comes from a place of genuine concern and caring, cactus person is just a smug prick. She's acting like a typical antagonist. And while thats an interesting take for this type or plot, it kinda muddied the message and the jokes and all that. Like both of em are in the wrong. Gumball being a dick and Cactus being a self-righteous schmuck. Looking at it further, she IS the typical SJW, but they're both horrible people here and the writing suffers here, just being all over the place. I really think they needed to just focus on how trying to be above everyone else for shallow reasons doesn't make you any better than the people you call out.

Something I appreciate about this show is just how far it's come and improved since season 1. Like it doesn't even feel like the same show. I'm in 11th grade now, but I remember back in like 3rd grade I would think about this show on the bus and one of my first episodes were The Dress and The Secret. Even though I was hooked after that, I still thought "man this is so KIDDY and could be funnier. Jokes kinda hung low" I look at the show now years later and they're literally tackling subjects like SJWs. Like WHAT?! who would've guessed? I feel like I've literally grown up with this show and that's what I love about it. The writers make sure to write it along with their audience as they age to keep their interest.

I personally disagree. I think seasons 1 and 2 are the better seasons because of the simple and straightforward humor. The jokes just worked better there, and it fell more like a silly wacky cartoon show. I just always prefer more random and absurd topics in shows than satire on realistic issues. Something I find more appealing when I’m watching a show, and I feel like some other kids/ teens feel the same way.

(I'm sorry about the names I binged the show when I started watching it and haven't rewatched it since) The one I hate the most is when Craig's friend is fauning over wildernessa and it causes a rift between the bird girl and her library friend. Like, the b story of them trying to find the animal they were looking for was so cute, but I hate how wildernessa continued to see him as useless and the fact that the bird girl would do anything to please her. It was annoying. But that's how kids are I guess. I hated her character and I didnt give a crap about her backstory. The big dog was cool, but the dialogue of her not answering certain people asking the same freaking question made me so angry. How can someone blatantly ignore you and yet you still think they're cool? Sorry about the rant. I love the show and that the only part I hate.

Both characters are meant to be in the right and wrong. Carmen is giving justified advice but doing it in a condescending way (whether she intentionally did it idk) and therefore Gumball’s irritation is justified, while he still needs that advice. That may seem confusing but it makes complete sense to me. This episode works if u have actually met a person like this irl, and I have. A person who gives well-meaning advice but in a seemingly condescending way. Sometimes we just don’t want to hear advice from others, even if it’s good advice, because we just want to live our life how we want to

If this were real, Gumball is a cat, aka a carnivore, meaning his greens, are next to non existant, while Carmen is a cactus, a plant that does in fact posses the ability to photosynthese, and has no need for a lunch. The episode is a gem when it comes to commentary on people like Carmen, who critise everyone for not being on her level, under the excuse of "greater good" , while she herself set that level because thats the highest she can go without it being inconvenient for her. Carmen is the type of person to say stuff like "You should get an environmentaly friendly electric car like me" to a person whos car budget was 1000$, and then proceed to use her electric car to strictly drive to places that are easily accessible via public transport, never justifying why she bought a car in the first place, other than being morally superior to people who couldnt even afford the green option to begin with.

I can't exactly call this the best episode of Gumball of all time, however I do appreciate The Game episode as it is the last time you'll ever see the creative boardgame Gumball and Darwin made called Dodj or Daar. I appreciate how that from since the beginning of when this boardgame was introduce right up to The Game episode. Even if it's a parody of Jumanji, it's rather amusing how it's not trying to be say "end of the world" threatening like Jumanji did for both the players and everybody around them, but only to show how every little challenge is effecting them even when they try to pretend the game is over when it's not.

I personally think the best episode of the Amazing World of Gumball is "The Joy" I loved how they took Simian's Craziness towards the Watterson children to a more realistic horror movie place. Unfortunately, you run into a lot of people like Carmen Especially online. Constantly trying to politically correct you and criticize you 24/7 to the point you either get Anxious Angry or Depressed. We had a kid in our social club back in school who acted JUST like Carmen to the point he turned to literally bullying me and a friend. I remember a kid got mad at me because I said that the Powerpuff Girls where little girls correcting me by saying "actually, they're creations not girls!" then ended off with "do your research and get your facts straight!" and when I lashed out at him and basically addressed that he was being a jerk, he rolled his eyes at me. So I had to deal with TWO classmates who acted like Carmen.
