It's taken me an eternity to make (because I absolutely suck at making tutorials), but I'm working on 2 tutorials a beginner and an advanced one. The advanced one will show you how to do attacks that do lots of damage and knock back, but it's a bit hard to put decent instructions into text. The delay at 2:11 is a feint. You need to unlock the skill feint then begin your attack, but release the LMB before you follow through with it. You can then do an actual attack, hopefully fooling the AI to open themselves up. I'm hoping to have at least the beginner tutorial out soon, but it may take a few weeks.

Super random question where do you find the normal polehammer in the dungeon. I mean the one that you would use in the arena mode.

Unfortunately the only way to get the arena pole hammer is by hex editing your inventory. If you want to know how to do that search KZbin for "exanima hex editor"

How do your swings have so much power in them? I use the mouse movement to move the whole body but mine are not nearly strong enough to fling an enemy across the room.

There's a few things at play on the ones that look really strong. The main thing is hitting an enemy during their attack because they'll be off balance and it also does more damage. The second most important thing is to move into the attack right before your weapon hits them. I've had the best results with the LTR (Left to Right) swings with the pole hammer and to move into the attack you need to either strafe to the right or back up. The last thing is that some of the enemies in the video are skeletons and because they're lighter they fly much further. I want to make a tutorial on advanced techniques, but I have to finish my beginner tutorial first. It may take some time as tutorials are not my thing. Good luck man!

Thanks, to spin the flails you have to have the feint skill, then you just have to get the correct rhythm of left clicking to start and cancel an attack. I can't keep it up for all that long maybe 2 to 3 spins because I ain't got no rhythm lol.

i'm not new in this game but i have no idea how to perform those sweep attacks that make enemies fly. for me my characters aren't striking but instead tend to tickle an enemy with their swings. on which version of the game this video was recorded?

All of the footage was from 7.3 version. Just keep in mind these where some of the best hits that I had over many hours of gameplay, but I did get quite a few similar hits in the 7.3 version. So far I've been having trouble getting any similar hits in the new 8.0 version, but I may just need to do some testing.

I'm assuming you're talking about the blade masters? I kited each one of them into an enclosed space and then manually saved the game. Then I would kill them, reload and repeat with different weapons and strategies. Also what does NG stand for?

How do you make sure the blue guys not block or rush you down? They are blocking every attack I make and I can't even touch them lol. By the way did you reach end game without losing much red health? I keep getting scraped by maces when enemies recover and they somehow chunk my hp.

Easiest way to get past their block is with a flail, if you're lucky enough to find one, beyond that it's mostly about footwork and feints if you're by yourself. With derrin they're much easier. I took a lot of red damage the first few times I made it to the end, but I've made it to the end without taking much red damage after some experience. Thanks for the comments!

Man, pleeeeasee... make a tutorial how to do that power swing. I read how to do it, I recreate all actions like you. I practiced for hours, but my enemies still don’t “fly” from attacks. A lot of questions... why you are always use LtR swing? Is it more powerful? Why you always keep your cursor on the top of the screen? How do you moving mouse and how you move your character when you are making that swing? Which character are you using? I mean how tall is he? Which body type? I want to make my enemies fly too))

The problem is beginner tutorials are pretty boring to make and I can't get myself to work on it 😆. It's not easy, you have to have the feint skill and you have to press m1 in a certain rhythm. Basically beginning an attack and then canceling it over and over. I can only get a few spins in before I mess up.

It's mostly a lot of practice, but keep in mind these are hand selected clips from hundreds of hours of playing and not all of my matches look good. I did just put out a beginner tutorial if you want to check it out. My next tutorial will be for intermediate combat. That one might help you out a bit more. If you have any specific questions I can try and give you some advice.

Actually that's a vanilla part of the game, that was an expert rank skirmish match in arena mode. It pits you and two NPC hirelings against 3 npc enemies. The one after that was a doubles match. They can be very fun!

It's an inept tier hat that you can get in arena. It's just RNG to get a red one, best odds of getting one is setting your hired merchant to only look for inept armor.

in exanima a skeleton without any muscle and only carrying one little mace can completely parry a powerful sledgehammer hit, thats prob one of the things i hate about this game, imagine how more interesting combat would be if weapon mass wasn't just about more powerful hits
