So I completely forgot that the pretty boys pocket pistol has a faster fire rate than the stock pistol. It should have a burst DPS of 152.249 and a sustained DPS of 77.631 DPS

I really like the shortstop. Believe it or not, the thing that wins me over is the full clip reload. Really handy.

I think the case of the Shortstop is actually quite interesting. A lot of people will look at the shortstops stats and conclude, logically, that it's a rather underwhelming weapon. But the shortstops hidden stats, like higher accuracy and damage, actually mean that it's quite a feasible weapon and arguably better than Stock. I think that even if Valve "nerfed" the shortstop by taking away the shove (not that it was in any way useful) and made its stats accurate in how it works currently, people would use it more. I think the main problem with it is that people simply aren't told what it is, and therefore it feels wrong and confusing. Tl;dr : Weapon removed, too confusing for new players.

Even looking at it through F2P-who-doesn't-know-any-better glasses I still prefer it over stock. Mostly because it has a full clip reload while having two extra shots in the clip over the FAN and SP.

Mendax Yeah, totally agree. I use the shortstop as my main scattergun, and I do pretty good, and much better than I would with the scattergun. The shortstop is so underrated lol

It’s basically a mid-range scatter gun (4 pellets per shot meaning more are going to hit and a meatshot only does 72 damage)

Could you show a video that shows the time for certain weapons to get to certain thresholds, like the time until you can kill a soldier with the scattergun. I think it would pretty interesting as well as very practical for gameplay.

Just pointing out that you made an error in the stats of the pretty boys pocket pistol as it shoots 15% faster than the stock pistol, giving it an attack interval of 0.1445. Which using the formulas would give is these values: Burst DPS: 152.24 Sustain DPS: 77.63 Crit Burst: 311.41 Crit sustain: 158.79 PS. The Critical DPS values in the spreadsheet are incorrect since you just multiplied the regular values DPS by 3 which would be correct if the DPS was calculated off of base damage and not ramped up damage. The difference is most prominent on the Force-A-Nature where the burst DPS drops from your 1076.19 down to a measly 615.87. PPS. The formula you show for sustained DPS at 0:44 shows a multiplication (*) sign before reload speed instead of a plus (+) sign like it should be, unlike how it's correctly displayed at 1:17 .
