1:15:17 The craziest part of all of this, was that during the fight, Manfroy got Adept and put Leif at 3 HP. Earlier, Leif had a lover's conversation with the substitute Jeanne, giving him +5 HP. So if he had not done that conversation, then he would have died to Manfroy. On top of this, the +5 HP is a bonus given only by Jeanne. If Leif has his lover's conversation with Nanna, he gets +3 Defense. So realistically, the substitutes saved the game.

And this allows Leif to kill Manfroy, after which Julius kills Jeanne for retaliation, which results in Leif having some GOOD OLE' FASHIONED REVENGE by the end. This one and Thracia 776 playthrough created one hell of a storyline for Leif, didn't it?

I mean, he got to 3 HP because he was already hurt. If Leif didn't have that support conv and he was in kill range Excelblem would have healed him before attacking again and the outcome would stay the same

The troubadour Lewyn singeth: Jugdral, land of the holy weapons who decided they’re leaving for Yilsse, a land unable to escape from war. For so long as people conquer in self-defence, the sins of history are doomed to repeat… Long ago, conquering in offence has been common for generations between two sides: the basement dwelling Loptyrians of the Yied Desert, and the money laundering Jugudi of the mainland continent. Because of this long-standing tax evasion, or perhaps in spite of it, the Lopytrians founded the Empire of the Dark God, which the Jugudi tried to conquer in offence. The funding from the 12 Crusaders of Jugdral’s investments was whittled away by the Empire, who had obtained the favor of the Dark God. After years of capitalism and abusing the endless hordes of reinforcements the Crusaders had to grind the Empire's weapons, the Jugudi’s free market of Darna was finally capitulated. In response to this, an alliance of dragons-Naga, Salamander, Forseti, and other random dragons no one bothered to mention-rose up against the Empire. Forming a blood pact between 12 Crusaders in exchange for their stocks, the dragons taught them the art of self-defence. With it, the Jugudi pushed back, slaying the local earth dragon who went mad with dark power and whose power of market corrections is unrivalled. In the process, the Crusaders had accidentally toppled the Loptyrian’s secret plans of kidnapping children and forcing them on their own free will to fight unsuspecting travellers lost in the fog in sidequests-all in self defence. And so, at least 100 years have passed since the fall of the Loptyrian’s economy…and with it, the dawn of serious relations between two pairs of half-siblings who just so happened to be related.
