Excellence Playa Mujeres | Walking Tour | Resort Tips

We stayed at The Excellence Playa Mujeres for 3 nights in November 2022. We were excited to try an Excellence Resort Property since we had heard so many great things about Excellence Resorts!

Excellence Playa Mujeres is located about 40-50 minutes North of the Cancun Airport. It is in a very private part of the Cancun area. So if you are looking for a resort that is safe but also has all of the amenities you could want, Excellence Playa Mujeres is a great choice! It is definitely not considered a budget friendly resort but it is well worth the cost of what you pay to stay here!

I believe the Indian, Mediterranean, and Italian restaurants all share the same kitchen. Wonder if all of those were shut down when one was under construction, or maybe it was just the seating area work being done...

We are planning to book a Jr Suite pool/spa view. Is there a building(s) that is better if we are hoping for quiet (avoiding bar noise, water aerobics music noise, etc). Thanks for the great video!

Thanks for watching!! Building 8 was the furthest away from the activities pool. The only noise was the seaweed tractor in the morning. Also 7 was on the other side of the activities pool

What all was involved in the upgrade? Like what did you get and what was the upgrade cost?

Hi I go over it in depth at the end of the video! But basically you get Rooms closer to the beach with premium liquor and concierge (who we never saw or interacted with) access to private areas on the beach and a Club only pool and bar access to the club lounge with premium liquors and additional restaurant Magna Free hydrotherapy but spa was closed so they have us a feee 20 minute massage also supposedly upgraded room service menu and daily fruits and chocolates in your room

Thanks for sharing, I'm trying to decide where to go July, last yr I was at hyatt ziva los cabos, it was ok had a couple of hit or miss spots there, I stayed at ziva cancun about 3 times , I like that I can go off the resort , now this place has me curious, my only draw back is MOSQUITOS, they be tearing me to pieces, I learned that many moons ago when I was down in riviera maya at the sunset princess resort, I paid the price for that, so my question is??????? How are the mosquitos there??? I know some get bit way more then others (I think I'm a magnet for that), if there's alot of bugs or mosquitos there then unfortunately I have to look elsewhere, the one thing I can say for ME is I didn't have any encounters with mosquitos in the hotel zone

Thanks for watching!! I agree with the hotel zone area that I don’t remember that being an issue. We went to the Sun Palace one July and it was great. Just lots of seaweed but they cleaned as much as they could.

You can only make a reservation if you are club level. Otherwise it’s first come first serve
