So how long did you wait before downloading it ;-)
@aemythjensen11 ай бұрын
Good question 😄 I waited 3 days. I had seen it mentioned somewhere else but they didn't give the detail analysis that you gave it in this video, so it didn't seem interesting enough to me. I just saw your video, and it changed my mind, so I went and downloaded it.

Subtle to my ears but noticeable nonetheless. I'd imagine using it on many multi-tracks in a session would have a more visceral impact on the overall vibe. And hey, can't beat free!
@whitenoisestudio11 ай бұрын
Exactly, its a subtle affair. You will notice that mixing afterward will actually get a bit easier since the source audio is more tailored already.

This looks a lot like the Neold V76 U73 w/o the comp.

Hello, is this pretube amp plugin considered the same thing as a saturation plugin? Thanks!
@whitenoisestudio11 ай бұрын
Yes. Preamp plugin like this can be driven into saturation, but dedicated saturation plugins ( think of waves BB Tubes) take it a step further and can drive up into distortion.
@aaronstepanik936511 ай бұрын
@@whitenoisestudioDo you use this preamp plugin in combination with another saturation plugin in the effects chain? Or is the preamp sufficient enough? Thanks again!
@whitenoisestudio11 ай бұрын
@aaronstepanik9365 depends on what you’re after. I want heavy distortion then I go with extra.
@DeltaWhiskeyBravo1357910 ай бұрын
@aaronstepanik9365 if it helps any, I'm using the VPRE 72 on every input and effect send I have, all the 72s linked into the same group for easier control. One of my send effects is saturation. So my Saturation channel has the 72, a free Softube Saturation Knob doing a little bit and switched to keep low and output trimmed -3, AND Soundtoys Decapitator in the E setting ( Chandler EMI TG series) drive at 4, rolling lows off a bit, steep turned on next to high cut but zero cut, output 0 cut, I think I've got a Melda parametric EQ rolling off high and low a bit, light sidechain ducking Melda basic compressor, klanghelm VU meter. I use the channel fader to blend it. The output klanghelm Vu meter set to have 0 equal -18 dBVU, running it about 10 dB lower than the original dry.

@@whitenoisestudio I will without a doubt. I'm actually searching for the plugins I'm gonna use in my workflow as soon as I have a new computer and he will be one of them. Take care and thanks for your great content.

Hello, since you mentioned this plugin has a big that needs fixed, is it best to wait until the bug is fixed before I download it? Can the bug be fixed after someone already downloaded it?
@whitenoisestudio11 ай бұрын
Just download. Bugfixes will be applied with new versions you need to download and install. it won’t affect anything you work on already. And it’s a small one, only gui related.

Is that something you can do with a channel strip ? Or should we add this preamp before a strip ?
@whitenoisestudio11 ай бұрын
A preamp is usually part of the channelstrip - input gain. How much color that one gives really depends on which channelstrip you use.
