I bought the X27Q because of the test, unfortunately I had to realize that the quality of the panel did not correspond at all to what was described in the test. After some research I found out that this monitor is sold with two different panels. Unfortunately, I got a device with a BOE panel (MV270QHM) and this is not good at all, since it offers very poor viewing angle stability, among other things.

@@s.f.8962 Not tried the X27Q but I tried a IOData 32 inch monitor that had the BOE 1440p 165hz panel in it, I also noticed the viewing angles were much worse than a typical IPS panel, I suspect its a weakness of the BOE ADS panels. More specifically the vertical viewing angels were real bad, got real washed out when viewed from higher or lower angle, left to right was not terrible. I wouldnt say it was TN bad with the 32 inch version, but it reminded me of older VA panels. On the bright side, the BOE panels do usually have a slightly higher contrast ratio due to slightly deeper blacks. My guess is Hardware Unboxed also got the LG version because the contrast ratio is low. It would be awesome if Hardware Unboxed could get both versions to test, my guess based on my experience is that the LG version will have better colors and viewing angles than the BOE, but lower contrast ratio.

If you're going to promote monitors to competitive gamers, saturation is sometimes prefered to aid in visibility. Sometimes alongside digital vibrancy in the 50-80 range in games like Apex and Valorant if talking about NVCPL. I have no idea if monitor makers are doing this on purpose, but saturation is sometimes a plus.
@RealLordShaxx
@RealLordShaxx 2 жыл бұрын
They are, same reason nvidia saturates their color a little out of the box on their gpus. Years ago manufacturers caught on to people saying AMD has better picture quality and it was just the bit of saturation amd had out of the box that people were liking. fast forward to now and everything usually comes a little saturated out of the box.

I have the x32 coming today. Hardly any info out there. I'm hoping it's just the 32 inch version of this.

Managed to buy this monitor for £140 as it was "open box" from Curry's outlet, insane value for 165hz 1440p IPS! After seeing this review I didn't hesitate

The HP X27c (not the Q variant) is the same, but with 1080p. Im really surprised by the image quality and freesync premium on it.
