I will throw out some songs by Ado that should be interesting (and off the cuff vibe I get): Mirror (jazzy duet with bass) RuLe (8-bit/Metal) Backlight (classic rock) 0 (rap/trap) Aishite Aishite Aishite (crazy, watch live) Crime and Punishment (idk someone said Queen) Show (hype up pop track watch live) will add to it, probably.

Her songs, by the way, are interesting for analysis; they are written by the best composers of Japan.

I agree on wanting the Charismatic Voice to analyze Ado's voice. I'd be really interested to get an idea of what's going on "behind the scenes". From what I've seen of her live shows on KZbin, I was surprised how close she sounds to the studio tracks. It's not identical in the sense there's no imperfections or losing her breath a little bit (she does move around a lot!), but the agility, power, range, etc. is all there. Definitely watch something of hers live if you get the chance. I do really like this song but i don't know if it's my favorite of hers. There's still a lot of Ado songs I haven't heard yet though.

She chooses from the offers of paid patrons, and there they mostly want songs from the 80s-90s of the last century. Unfortunately

And she's not just a singer anymore, she created, as a side project, a 5-girl retro-horror idol group, which she produces herself, right down to directing. And from what I can see, she'll make them stars in a year.

Chris Liepe and Katriinka have both done quite a bit of Ado

Yes. They are one of the few teachers who can explain and repeat some of Ado's techniques. I really want to know how Ado learned all this at 21 years old.

About ado's vocal range: from E2 to B6 (fans' info obviously as there's no official data). Ado is known for her great live shows. You can check out Unravel Live, Show Live (available on her channel). Chris Liepe has done more than 10 videos on ado, Charismatic voice doesn't seem to be doing any japanese music so probably not gonna react to ado.

The Charismatic Voice has done a couple of Japanese artists, Babymetal a couple of times (I think) and Lovebites once. She might have done others, but not a lot. And the way some people in the fanbases were "fighting" with each other in the commentsection probably isn't going to help unfortunately. Let's hope she would do a couple of others. I might not be the biggest Ado fan (or pop fan in general), but Ado is without question a good fit for her channel as are Zutomayo or Yuroshika (which are Japanese pop bands that I do enjoy and an other artists that hide her their faces) or some of the more vocally focused Japanese rock/metal. Maybe Unlucky Moprheus, Saiseiga (for harsh/cleans), tricot (Ikkyu can get really high and I just love the band) and I can probably think of a whole bunch of others given more time, but in the end she probably chooses the bands that get requested the most and Japanese artists are very unlikely to get picked.

G♯2 - C7 She is a mezzo-soprano, more than 4 octaves on Range Planets. But she knows a lot of vocal techniques, yodel, metal scream, distortion of varying degrees, rap, whistles

@@Olkam-w5u I mean, it's not that different to some reactors that almost exclusively do Japanese stuff because that's what get requested by patrons so it's not like I don't understand. There is a way bigger audience for Western music in the West obviously. In that sense, it's crazy that she did Babymetal and Lovebites to begin with.

As far as the keychange goes, it gets used a LOT in Japanese music (both pop and rock/metal). I am not a huge fan of it myself, but I have certainly noticed it over the years listening to Japanese music that they are not afraid of using it to the point that I was expecting it even though I hardly knew the track. As far as the "perfect" sound of the vocals, it is Japanese Pop so there is a lot of studio cleanup without question. That said, I have heard clips of her singing stuff live on radio where the stuff she sung was requested live, which made me realize that she is actually really gifted (I was somewhat skeptic before that after I heard some slight trickery on one of her live tracks). As far as the rapping goes, a lot of Japanese artists tend to sound a bit like rap. While a bunch of them choose a rapping style without question, I think a lot of it is also because the Japanese language seemingly tends to lend itself to that style because of how it works/is constructed since all words end on a consonant+vowel combo (consonants and vowels don't exist in Japanese, but I mean for our ears) or an n. Some Japanese artists tend to sound like they are rapping when they speak quickly in a more spoken-style voice. It is well done though, without question. The more rapping vocals in Japanese music is certainly something that doesn't really bother me any more like it did when I first heard it. I quickly checked Julia Nilon's channel (vocal coach) because I know she has reacted to a couple of Japanese artists, but she hasn't done Ado as far as I can see. She also doesn't post that often any more unfortunately.
@CriticalReactionsАй бұрын
Interesting note about the Japanese language. I agree about the production cleaning up her vocals too. I noticed it in other tracks as well. But someone in these comments recommended a live video and I was blown away at her dexterity without the need for production tricks too.

Since you're interested in the live version, Chris Liepe actually did one of his videos on a live version of this song. Also, she is performing in shadows the whole time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKmodpqMhc2cbtk&ab_channel=ChrisLiepe
