There needs to be a bluray release of all these John Williams Boston Pops shows. They have 30 years of great concerts on film!
@zoltan9026 жыл бұрын
Would be lovely, wouldn't it! However these were all recorded in a video quality that wasn't too much better than what was uploaded here, making a blu-ray release total overkill. I've done a fair bit of digging online, and can't find any comprehensive archives of this program, let alone any of decent quality, which makes me fear that many episodes no longer exist in their master format. Further, given the number of dedicated Arts channels, and online streaming platforms, I can't believe that PBS wouldn't want to commercially exploit this very well produced show, which adds further to my suspicion that many are lost, except for on home-video recordings.

Interesting that many agree that music can make a film into a masterpiece. And yet in the credits, the Music gets "Music by John Williams" But the film side lists EVERYONE. From the lead actor to the spoty kid who made the tea. Surely it should respect the music and say, at least, ... "MUSIC written and conducted by John Williams with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, recorded in London."
@Martyprod26 жыл бұрын
I agree complety, they put the full list of all the CGI artist who worked, and today on a film with lot of Visual FX, the list is insane, but they never list the full list of all the musicians who recorded the music, In the movie harry portter, Randy Kerber, not only designed the sound of the harp but played it (on keyboard), don't know if he's in the credits, but he clearly deserve it, as well as all the other musicians. even the orchestrator is sometimes not included or the conductor (when it's not the composer who does it), but what is never forgot, it the musical director who most of the time didn't composed or wrote one single note of music (i know his importance, but so, why forgetting the others ?)
