Lately I have been feeling very low because of the facial hair. I have been waxing for the past 4 years and before that I simply wouldn't bother doing anything about it. I started having some excess hair but I accepted all of it and totally don't care about my hairy arms or legs. I rarely shave or do anything else. I save so much time, money and energy not worrying about such things and instead stay happy. Thank you for covering this topic! I was diagnosed with PCOS 6 years back only because of hirsutism and male-pattern baldness on my head. Cut to 2021, hirsutism has gone extremely bad and I can't go without waxing my chin every 10 days 😞 I literally grow a beard and the hair is so thick and coarse. But I've heard for a lot of PCOS patients that even the right type of Laser actually increased their hair growth. And some of them got electrolysis done to see proper results. What do you think about that?

Go to dietician first and follow diet chart given by him or her to increase weight. Take supplements only if they tell you to take them.

Coming from a very senior doctor like you I simply don't understand how can you recommend to not consume animal proteins well or depends the way the protein is cooked and the way it is sourced from like grass fed meat is extremely nutritious and some oily fatty fish are infact very necessary too and there are so many important vitamins which is not even possible to solely get from just a plant based diet it's so sad that there is so much amount of misinformation my take is that you are a vegetarian hence you think that animal proteins are the worst which is infact not true the single most important thing with PCOS especially which is insulin resistant is to consume lower glycemic index meals.
