I really wanted this bike, unfortunately I couldn’t get E Cells sales to answer my emails. I mean if you have a sales inquiry and it takes 3 weeks for a response I have little faith in their customer service going forward after sale

I originally ordered a step star, and then test rode it at the electrify expo in SF, and realized it was a little too small. I'm 6'1". I'm getting a monstar, which I hope will fit me better.

@@VINTAGELIKE I step on my bike with swinging right leg over rear rack with the left foot on the pedal (like on a horse so to speak)... I have a top frame tube plus a 2nd battery on that tube .. so only way is swing over the rear

this is so nice im 5'11 and i think this bike is perfect not too big not too small and 24" tires and hits 40mph ngl this bike is low key perfect

Im 6'4" 34 inseam and i see your shorter and it 'kinda" fits you "ok" Im sure Dave will make a larger version for us on the "other" end of the scale ;) I have been watching the 5 star & [yeah I know it will fit me, buut. . . I have both and prefer my ST] the star is mt favorite - Ive looked at "others" and always compare to the [well my] better choice. there are some that think theirs is best! [thats ok for them] I Have been waiting on the step star As I like the 5 star. it is obvious to me that I need to wait a little longer to get a step star that is my size. [sigh] I was so ready to get this, & the 24" wheels to me is a good compromise [the 20" = bear at a circus] :o Dave will make the larger frame, we just can wait as we know he has proven to be really good at this. Oh gee I just have to wait for it. the general I really like tho.

I like the overall design but like some other brands, some of the welds look cold while some look they have been ground down or smooth to hide that fact.

These ebike manufacturers really need to stop putting the rear battery weight beyond the rear axle center point like a lever

It looks huge! Doesn’t look smaller but it obviously is . Should be a solid step through. . I would be interested in this bike. I’m glad they made a smaller frame and 24 in tire model. It should sell well. E-Cells are making some real decent bikes. Man you’re travelling all over the place! Good on you!! 👍

they should fit a 2nd pack on the frame (where the threads for bottle holder is) .. lower centre of gravity and lower tendency for front end wobble

I agree batteries are always placed and never looks good.in frame is good in rear rack is good to but some just plopped onto the frame

Monstar is 17 inch frame.i heard its a huge bike.over 6.2 i would get a bigger frame monstar is doable at 6 feet can always get a dropper seat

@@rachel64660 it does help the motor so lowers current and increases range if you pedal harder ... in a lower Pas stage you can pedal fast enough that the motor is near freewheeling and draws only very few amps ... while it may pull a dozen amps or more if you go uphill and not pedal hard

When will all eBike makers get rid of the spoke wheels and make mag wheels, me personally I only like the mag rims. I don’t like smoke rims.

I appreciate that but I'm the opposite. I don't like the heavier mags and I've never had a problem with the spokes on my ebike and I ride hard.Be safe.

@@54john2 if you hit an obstacle hard enough a mag wheel may brake and it's for the waste bin... on a spoked wheel you need a new rim and some new spokes and can keep the motor...

I broke a mag wheel off at the hub on a gas bicycle. Spokes don't all break off at once.
