I'm Sinhalese and Some of my best friend are Tamils. Even when the war was going like crazy we were sharing the same cigarette on a roof top and contemplating life. Hell when I was short of money for my wedding he just gave half of his salary while he also had many commitments, a rare act of friendship you cant expect from even your own kind. My mentor and most beloved manager was Tamil...when the time came for her to migrate to another country she made sure to give a good word about me to her fellow managers that helped me as a young employee , progress my professional career a lot. When I was a team leader and executive some of my best employees were Tamils... There are times I faced death threats for supporting that tamil manager when she fired corrupt employees to restore order in the organization. This is the way people in mixed communities live like one family. Its the politicians that's provoking communities against each other for political gains. the bastards.

There is no denying that ltte was nothing short of a terrorist organization. But they fought for the rights or the tamils. As sinhalese sri lankan citizens we have to accept that.
