Except they raised a daughter with mental health issues and so insecure that she stayed in a toxic relationship... And that's not a judgment, it's just a contrary opinion to yours. The few minutes they have been in front of the camera are not indicative of 20 something years of co-parenting (or however many years it was).

Losers. Selfish losers. When all of America wants answers on a strange death, you should be giving them. But when a family needs answers about their child, it’s mandatory. This family deserves it, SO MUCH. They worked so hard without their help, they found their daughter, unfortunately it wasn’t how they wanted to find her. But now the Laundries family needs to spill it. It’s time to stop protecting your temper tantrum son, he needs to be taught right from wrong.

@HB-yg3ke
@HB-yg3ke 3 жыл бұрын
@keith prempeh you are right that statistically, white missing persons usually are found more often, no matter the outcome, and get more media attention. But that’s our job. TIK tok is the reason Gabby’s case blew up. It’s our job as viewers and scrollers to decide if we spend an extra ten seconds posting, retweeting etc., for every single missing person and victim no matter their race or circumstance.
@sunmoonstars0369
@sunmoonstars0369 3 жыл бұрын
@keith prempeh this family made a collective decision to be proactive and loud in the media which helped them solve this case quickly, the media and police where on it. If the family bandits together in numbers I think race wouldn’t be an issue. Many parents have to make a decision on how they decide to come forward. If it is dangerous for the missing child or family member many times the parent or family will want to remain low key. This is an additional consideration.

No, not obviously. Sometimes is the opposite. Sometimes parents are dictators and want control and the choice over everything their kids do. Then, when these kids grow up, they do not know how to think for themselves, they do not know how to do anything for themselves when they find themselves free to make their own choices and to deal with life. We all know at one point of our lives someone who's parents were strict to the point of being extremist until the kid rebelled or took all the wrong roads when they were old enough to do as they pleased. You cannot make all the choices for your kids, you have to give them the opportunity to make their own choices so they learn to deal with the consequences of their own choices. Many parents see this as a threat to their authority. Parents like that only care about being obeyed and not about "guiding" their kids. Look up the three types of parenting: Authoritarian, Authoritative and Permissive. There is more than one way to mess up your child than the "not holding your child accountable." Most people do not even think that controlling your child is the easiest way to raise a spoiled child.

To the parents: When I lost my son, I also tended to go down 'the rabbit hole' with 'what ifs.' Something that helped me was that I realized that just because my mind brought up a question, didn't mean I had to answer it or even think about it. When a 'what if' would come, I practiced saying to myself, "That's a question that doesn't need to be answered." Then, I'd distract myself. All questions do not require answers. My deepest condolences. Hugs, Barbara

Bcuz police don’t care, media doesn’t care, no one cares about young women getting killed, and raped. Sad. Many families struggle with it ♡ They also have admirable self control.. If we're going by with this interview, we can tell that Gabby was raised in such a beautiful, loving, emotionally healthy environment. We can guess she's a girl full of life, kind, understanding, and forgiving.. something that attracts narcissists. Such a terrible combination to have someone entitled to drain the life out of you with someone who is always willing to constantly forgive and give another chance. I mean, being constantly being on and off like her best friend said; maybe it's just me, but that just spells trauma bonding.
@geek7227

Watching this I'm wondering why was she attracted to this abusive man coming from a family which supposedly shown her what healthy love looks like. Girls should be raised to have non-negotiable boundaries & high standards instead of being polite & forgiving because it attracts abusive males.

I have been there for almost the past 2 years. I've finally escaped. I knew what the outcome was already when they were looking for her and sharing the video of her crying in the police car. I felt her heart, because it was my own. Narcissists are pure evil. NPD needs even more awareness. When these demons latch onto you, it's very difficult to get away. Im moving soon to get away from all of it. Victims can escape before it's too late. This story hit me hard. My heart hurts for this family. My mother shares this with me often to remind me what could happen.

Gabby is an inspiration and so are her parents. The bond the four of them have is beautiful. You can feel the respect, love and unity… I think that’s why Gabby became such an amazing young woman. The world does know her name, her smile and will forever remember her. She was pure light on earth and still shines. My heart breaks for her, I was in an abusive relationship when I was a year older. It went from verbal, emotional to physical. I got out and I thank God for that one moment of strength when I said “ I’m done!”. It takes quite a while to heal from what you’ve been through and to find your true self again, but it’s worth it. I can’t thank Gabby’s parents enough for bringing this very serious, very real topic to light. It’s been in the dark much to long. God bless the Petito Schmidt family and Gabby, be happy and peaceful in Heaven. 🙏🏻
