@keith prempeh you are right that statistically, white missing persons usually are found more often, no matter the outcome, and get more media attention. But that’s our job. TIK tok is the reason Gabby’s case blew up. @sunmoonstars03693 жыл бұрын
@keith prempeh this family made a collective decision to be proactive and loud in the media which helped them solve this case quickly, the media and police where on it. If the family bandits together in numbers I think race wouldn’t be an issue. Many parents have to make a decision on how they decide to come forward. If it is dangerous for the missing child or family member many times the parent or family will want to remain low key. This is an additional consideration.

@skyemed89643 жыл бұрын
No, not obviously. Sometimes is the opposite. Sometimes parents are dictators and want control and the choice over everything their kids do. Then, when these kids grow up, they do not know how to think for themselves, they do not know how to do anything for themselves when they find themselves free to make their own choices and to deal with life. We all know at one point of our lives someone who's parents were strict to the point of being extremist until the kid rebelled or took all the wrong roads when they were old enough to do as they pleased. You cannot make all the choices for your kids, you have to give them the opportunity to make their own choices so they learn to deal with the consequences of their own choices. Many parents see this as a threat to their authority. Parents like that only care about being obeyed and not about "guiding" their kids. Look up the three types of parenting: Authoritarian, Authoritative and Permissive. There is more than one way to mess up your child than the "not holding your child accountable." Most people do not even think that controlling your child is the easiest way to raise a spoiled child.

Agreed - some people have said he’s too stony and serious, but I think when you’re in his position, you have to leave the moments of levity/humour to the family if they feel up to it, it’s not appropriate for him to be smiley/chirpy or steal the spotlight from them in media appearances.

If we're going by with this interview, we can tell that Gabby was raised in such a beautiful, loving, emotionally healthy environment. We can guess she's a girl full of life, kind, understanding, and forgiving.. something that attracts narcissists. Such a terrible combination to have someone entitled to drain the life out of you with someone who is always willing to constantly forgive and give another chance. I mean, being constantly being on and off like her best friend said; maybe it's just me, but that just spells trauma bonding.

It's really sad how he mentioned feeling okay with her going on the trip because she thoroughly planned it out so well for over a year. Out of all the bad things that could have happened I'm sure something like this never even crossed their minds.

@Jen F agreed. If my 22 year old daughter spent 1.5 years planning this trip and was taking her boyfriend/fiance, I would have actually thought, cool, he won't let anything happen to her. It would give me a greater sense of security that she had someone who loved her with her. Who would have ever thought the one person you trusted to protect her would be the one who actually killed her? Omg.. 😭

I’m surprised how composed they are. If I had just lost my son to murder, I wouldn’t be able to sleep, eat, talk, let allow appear on a talk show. Just saying his name would send me into a fit of tears. They’re very strong.

Well you haven’t loss your child to murder so you think you’ll be like that but In the moment it could be completely different, they know that talking out will help a lot of other families who are grieving but also it could potentially help find her disgusting murderer! You can clearly see they are broken, you don’t need tears falling down your face and not talking to be heartbroken and struggling

I will be so relieved when that SOB is found. Gabby’s parents including stepparents deserve to know what happened to this sweet girl. I can only imagine the frustrations, sadness, worrying they live with daily. We all know Brian is a coward let alone a POS this includes his nasty parents. Sweet Gabby is resting high on her mountain top.

Gabby left light upon us; she is light 🕯️. Though many are sad/mad/missing her terribly and searching for the why in all of this but the good in Gabby has made a mark on this earth plane. she's her family's guardian angel and will ensure that they'll get the answers needed as well as peace which will eventually come. Peace and Love to the family of Gabby Petito💞🦋🙏🏽💫

See how widely smiling and happy Brian was after the police stopped them and said it was Gabby that committed assault and he was the one that was the victim. He seemed very, very pleased with himself. I bet he's feeling pretty smart right now that he's been successfully evading the police. He is a pos.

I think that really stands out for domestic violence survivors. Anyone who has been victimized feels deep shame or negative connotation to the word victim. No victims are happy about being a victim. I can hardly stand to say the word, let alone be called one.

@@jcam5064 very true. I can remember being 22 and knowing my partner was going to seriously harm me. I was a thousand miles from home and just refused to call my family for help. yeah and the cops not thinking anything of it like all the signs are there of him being an abuser also brian saying “i hope she didn’t have anything too bad to say about me” he was very obviously trying to find out if she had told them he abuses her and when he went to sit on the ground near the car gabby was sitting in and kept trying to hear what she was saying to the cops and all the lies he told them too

He didn't truly loved her, he would never turn himself him for that reason. All he wanted was to have a bit of control over somebody, making himself feeling powerful. He will hide till the very end and everyday he is not found is make him more confident. That's how those minds working.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is suffering from this terrible loss. I pray that Brian will be found soon so that the family can get some justice for Gabby.
