Lighting up up the outside of the box so it looks cool was an absolutely genius bit of design, marketing, PR. Someone deserves a raise.

I love how they went to the extra efforts of making the outside of the moving structure visually stunning. It just adds the grandeur the boat has that would have been missing if the container was plain.

Agreed. This is a Pharaoh's boat and called his "solar" boat make it shine! LOL! Plus, great publicity for their tourism which had been suffering.

Plus a big source of income for Egypt is tourism so they try and make it seem amazing like doctored photos. You only have to look behind you when facing the pyramids to see they don’t really care that much.

Amazing - on a par with the relocation of the temple of Abu Simbel. The danger to it now is the indoor climate since the desert preserved it so well for centuries. From what was mentioned, I think they have considered that when building the display space. I hope it will last for many centuries to come as a monument to the unparalleled culture of Ancient Egypt.

Egypt is history the Egyptians should be very proud of its history just like Chinese they have a very very long history that they can study and learn from. The United States has to learn from there history and its mistakes so that it may last as long and even longer that other nations. Look what we’ve been able to accomplish in less then three hundred years just imagine three thousand years. Visiting other galaxies or other civilization far far from home what would Spock say live long and prosperous young man.

There are things meant not to be kept as treasure. There is a kind of problems with our world, we become comfortable with the mystery. There’s a reason why their civilization are left in the opening, forbidden. And here you are trying to conceive mankind with a different set of deaths. Everyone has the right to answer the questions upon their dignity, unless you choose to cross over that way. I’m not talking about the spiritual life of mankind and their Deism “God” And Natural Religion, I’m talking about the birthplace of all creations and the supernatural world.

Safety for tourists. I would pay my entire life savings to go to Egypt. I've dreamed of going there since I was a little boy. I've been to Paris, Rome, Florence, and Vienna. But I'll probably never go to Egypt because it's not safe. Countries in the Middle East could make billions and billions of dollars off dumb tourists like me if, and only when, they can guarantee the safety of tourists.

Stop being so scared. Look at Bald and Bankrupt for example, he'll show you the world isnt as scary as you think. Theres plenty of options to safely travel Egypt. Also, the US seems more dangerous if you look at the statistics between both countries. On Nationmaster country comparison: Murder rate in the US is 13 times higher than in Egypt. Assaults in the US 2622 times more than Egypt
