It may be something weird, but kids will also say some dumb shit to not get into trouble themselves. If this guy knows the young girl, just because the kids in his car or he's seen with a kid. Just a total loss of any kind of public trust amongst people, an doing all this before a more major calamity. Unfortunately things will not get better this year in 2021, unless the govt etc are trying to redeem the publics trust.
