says a lot about the intentions of the two aggressors in the fight… busch is absolutely silent after the fight until penalties get dished out, and RSJ does a full on press tour which ironically probably provided more evidence for NASCAR to penalize him. Somebody’s looking for publicity…

Not really. They know people love then and so they will feed into that when it happens but even Hockey players get penalties for fighting. They cant just let it happen without some sort of consequence.

@@Boxscot49 $75,000 fine, team/crew suspensions. And nothing for the other guy. Definitely not the same as a 5min penalty in hockey. Example: Ross Chastain last year, no penalty for hitting Noah gragson. 1979 daytona 500, the fight. No penalty. Nascar penalizes inconsistently. And they new for 2 hours before it happened that Rickey was gonna retaliate, and still let it happen.

Funny how people have talked about Ricky crashouse taking out many drivers during his career but now want to basically stand behind him! He might have thrown the first punch but at least Kyle didn’t need his daddy to step in! RC commenting is about crashouse saying he will wreck the 8 this weekend! RC isn’t going to stand for a backfield driver wreaking his cars!
@billtmarchi4320

Kyle wrecked himself and then blamed Ricky.. and as for crash crashouse bs, I seem to recall Kyle wrecking in almost every other race this year. Hitting walls on his own spinning out on his own and generally running as an also ran team and driver lately.

Great interview, I'm on Kyle's side of this coin and also cudo's to his crew for stepping in when shit hit the fan. I like when Kyle gives credit to young racer's coming up, he recently said that a lot of Nascar eyes are on the 2023 Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series champion Jade Avedisian. Kyle said she is fearless and a quick study and is going to be very successful in Nascar. That goes along with what Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Bob Pockrass and others have said about Jade. It's being speculated that we could see Jade make her ARCA debut on August 18 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds dirt track......

I can't side with either driver, kb8 did ricky dirty, and I dont respect any driver that puts someone head first into the outside wall. I also don't respect people who sucker punch people. But nascar fining Wrecky after they broadcast the fight is absolutely disgusting and that single thing ruined the sport for me.

Kyle is right when he says he was going to get run into the fence regardless because if you watch Kyle's onboard camera from that incident, you'll see that Ricky tracks out towards the wall and doesn't leave even an inch more than a car width between himself and the wall. What would've happened if Kyle didn't bounce the wall is that Ricky would've right hooked himself into the wall down the backstretch off Kyle's LF and people would be talking about how terrible Ricky is instead of riding his nuts like they are now.
@willc4163
@willc4163 7 ай бұрын
Yeah I love all the BLIND NASCAR media STILL trying to say Ricky didnt touch Kyle. He squeezed Kyle into the wall and was NOT CLEAR, and like you say was ridiculously close to hooking himself at that moment. Ricky was NEVER clear of Kyle on his outside, only an idiot trying to get themselves wrecked squeezes the outside guy that hard. Kyle had every reason to be mad and retaliate.

@NotImportant-c3w
@NotImportant-c3w 7 ай бұрын
The only problem with that argument is that #34 McDowell was essentially pushing Ricky high and forcing him into Kyle's lane. It didn't matter if Ricky touched Kyle first or vise versa, contact was gonna happen between Kyle's LF and Ricky's RR. Where Kyle was wrong was assuming Ricky came up the track on purpose on his own, when Ricky was actually being forced up high by the 34 off turn 2.
@scottwillingham8349
@scottwillingham8349 7 ай бұрын
I don’t see it that way. Kyle left a huge hole in the middle lane and Ricky dived in there cleanly. That is standard procedure this year with restarts; everyone is aggressive for track position because the cars don’t handle well coming from behind. Bush got into the wall all by himself, which was weird and surprising. After that point, everything is pure speculation. Yes, RIcky came up the track. But why shouldn’t he? The high lane was clear at that point. We don’t know what would have happened if Bush held his line cleanly. I don’t really believe that Bush was just giving a warning tap either. That looked like a deliberate and prolonged push to me.

Kyle handed out a rebuff...Ricky couldn't handle it. Remember Las Vegas 2022 when Bubba Wallace got convaluted, hooked Kyle Larson in a corner at high speed, them proceeded to try and beat, with his fists, Kyle once the wreck ended in the field. Wow...McDonalds should have pulled on Bubba. Nascar: One (1) race suspension on Bubba. I'll say this: Kyle Larson handled it and it is now showing up again and again with his great performances and racing professionalism. Kyle Bush should consult a bit with Kurt and show us the true professionalism the Bush brothers can offer us. Both of them can help make this a good sport in the future. (I'm kind of tired of DH's comments.)

This all goes back to what I have wanted for decades. I don’t really like on track battles, it is not good for a professional sport and involves innocents. I don’t want crew members and others involved unless they want to square off in this same way, or on their own or off track. This is mostly between two drivers. No open pits fighting between them. Have a ring set up and if they both agree to it they get in the ring alone and fight it out until one gets knocked out, they both quit or one cries uncle. No outside interference. Stenhouse could have been next to the ring waiting to show he was game for it. Busch could agree or not. We can get a resolution to at least the physical part. I know nascar would never do this and there may be legalities. But this free for all stuff is a real joke and settles nothing. In this case just one sucker punch and a crew/relatives scrum.

Kyle Busch is the perfect example of the drivers that came into NASCAR in the 2000s that turned fans off and caused them to leave the sport. Spoiled, entitled, narcissistic, egotistical. Nothing's ever his fault. Didn't grow up owning or working on his own cars and that's been apparent his whole career. He's been involved in countless stupid incidents that proved he has no respect for the equipment he's in or anyone else's. He always driven for the top organizations in NASCAR which has been the main contributing factor to his success. But, now he's not with the top organization in the sport and he's struggling. RCR is still a solid team though, they're just not the best like Kyle's used to driving for. Ricky has never driven for a top team in cup, it would even be a stretch to say they're mediocre teams.

NASCAR needs to just let men settle it like men. Do i want people fist fighting every week? No. Crew members need to stay out of it, security can step in when one guy hits the ground, but im so sick of seeing one guy get a punch in and the other guy not even get a chance to respond.

Precedence has been set. It is now ok to INTENTIONALLY take Busch out of a race with no recourse. Can't wait....

I’m now a big Ricky fan. Small team standing up to the big guys. Interesting how all the talking heads are so muted against NASCAR.

Kyle needs penalized like they did to Chase when he wrecked Denny last year. Difference is Ricky didn’t just whine like Denny did. Time to crack down on these intentional wrecks.

@@jackielowe2895intentionally wrecking someone dosent deserve a fine. If it happens multiple times then yes and a suspension but tempers flare on the race track. Kyle got what he deserved after the race get over it Karen

Seems this channel really loves Danica, so why don’t you get Danica back on and ask if that was her shorts Wrecky was wearing when he assaulted Kyle? 😱😱😱😂

Fighting off five different guys? Is he that delusional? He also admitted to retaliating against Stenhouse, so he should clearly get the same fine/penalty that DH got last year.

Wow, Kyle bounced off the wall into Ricky. Watch the replay dude! Also if Busch didn't know something was going to happen, he is flat out lying! Come on Kyle you've done the same thing many times. PS: flat out wrecking someone on lap 2 shows just how immature you still are!

Ricky Stenhouse has wrecked more race cars than all the demolition derby’s combined in this country. He’s downright horrible. Restrictor plate tracks anyone can win on, and that has been proven. Stenhouse had to sell his $30 million dollar estate because I’m sure his salary doesn’t pay him enough to afford it. I don’t know how he continues to get a ride. Terrible, terrible, terrible!!! Did I mention he is terrible??

If a much larger person lays punch on a smaller guy than jump in, but in most fights nascar needs to let them tire themselves or until one person is definitely out gunned.
