I saw that when they did the replay right after it happened. Also, Ricky received the NASCAR penalty because his team and himself sucker punched Kyle as he was walking away.

NASCARS RATINGS ARE HORRIBLE. The Balls have been missing from nascar for quite a while now. Something like this brawl is good for nascar and their ratings. They fine Ricky for the fight but nothing to Kyle for hitting his father repeatedly or intentionally wrecking him on track. Then Nascar promoted the incident. This is just wrong in so many aspects. I don't think Stenhouse went to Busch's hauler with the intent to start a fist fight. Afterall, who wears a pair of yellow flowered Bermuda shorts to a fight that's going to be televised on national TV? I think Stenhouse, after being forced to sit and stew about the incident the entire race, instead of heading home to cool off as he said he would have if he could have gotten out of the race track, went to confront Busch face to face, to voice his aggravation, and things quickly escalated. A $75,000 dollar fine is ridiculous and didn't even address what happened on the track during the race! What occurred before Busch sent Stenhouse into the wall was typical aggressive NASCAR racing. None of this after the race drama would have happened if Busch had immediately been penalized 10 laps for his actions. But NASCAR loves the drama and the attention it brings to the sport, and for them to penalize people for playing right into their sceme is total Bullsh!t!!!

Everyone is very split about whose the better driver/least wrong. The fact of the matter is Kyle put himself into the wall, however when Stenhouse and Busch made contact, Kyle was still against the wall, meaning they would’ve made contact anyways. Kyle absolutely wrecked Stenhouse intentionally but knowing his history, I doubt he would’ve wrecked him if he knew he put himself into the wall. Kyle doesn’t like to wreck people for no reason. Right before the first punch was thrown Kyle said, “I doubt it, but if that’s what happened…” I’m no genius, but that sounded almost like an apology. Stenhouse, his dad, and that crew member definitely instigated it and eventually took it a little too far, especially with the choke hold. The point is they both did wrong. No point in saying whose better because that just comes down to opinion. I’m definitely more of a Kyle fan, but the contact with the wall was definitely his own doing, whether or not they would’ve collided a few seconds later.

It’s interesting how at a race track it’s just a fine and a slap on the wrist and you’re onto the next one. However, if he did that out in public or at a regular job, he would’ve been arrested put in jail and charged with assault. So I guess be thankful that you’re only out 75K.
