Maybe they made big changes on the newest models, but for instance, I'm 240lbs and I've been riding my SE to work with a 30lb backpack. I always hit 40mph anywhere about 50% charge. I need to start making videos.. even a lower charge will get me to 40 unless there is a lot of wind. I'm also 6'7", so wind resistance is a big deal for me.
@GingerOnWheels3 жыл бұрын
You should definitely make a video of that. My Mantis has 27amp minimotors controllers , what are yours? Sorry if this is redundant but make sure you aren't measuring speed using the speedometer. They are, unfortunately, notoriously inaccurate. Use something measured by GPS like a Draggy chip.

Hey Ginger. Do you mind if I ask your opinion on something? I'm going to be pulling the trigger on my next purchase, probably around February/March time once the weather has improved a bit. I've pretty much decided on the Emove Cruiser, the only thing that is giving me pause for thought is whether I'm gonna regret not getting a dual motor scooter instead. So I'm trying to decide between the Cruiser and the Speedway 5, both seem good choices for my needs, obviously the Speedway 5 gives me a bit more speed and the Cruiser gives me a bit more range. Having ridden both single and dual motor scooters do you think the difference is night and day or is it a small step upwards? I tend not to have the budget to upgrade my scooters very often so want to make sure I make the right choice first time. I'd be interested in your thoughts on this. Any other subscribers please feel free to voice your opinions as well. Thanks.
@GingerOnWheels3 жыл бұрын
On hills the difference is immense. On flats or even smaller hills lots of riders don't keep in dual mode all the time though as the acceleration is extremely sensitive and requires a lot more rider effort to just stay upright. Plus you conserve quite a bit of battery by not having to engage two 1kw motors. I'd say if you have a need to power up steeper hills, or plan to off-road I'd go with a dual motor scooter like the Mantis or Zero 10x. If youre fine at lower speeds uphills and don't need wicked acceleration the Emove is fine. If I'm being perfectly honest, when I'm riding alone and not filming a video showing 'what the scooter can really do', I often times just stick to single motor mode unless, like I said, I encounter a steep long hill.

Bigger everything and what attracts me to the wolf more is really the more range.
@GingerOnWheels3 жыл бұрын
@@yoassgoinhateme The Wolf is definitely better. I love the enourmous headlights and it feels more.... Rugged. Where the mantis power starts to fade around the 30mph mark, the Wolf will keep pulling all the way up to mid-upper 40's. Range is 2x the mantis, but so is the weight. The wider tires and double stem design on the Wolf are superior as well. Honestly if you're torn between the two Id save and get the Wolf if weight/portability is no issue. Assuming you're into higher speeds that is, not everyone needs to go insanely fast, but you asked for MY take 🙂
@yoassgoinhateme3 жыл бұрын
@@GingerOnWheels yeah weight and portability isn’t a real concern, once in a great while I’ll load it in my car but I got a suv so I got enough room. Yeah I was thinking of saving for the wolf also.

You know what I would love to see. A video showing how to get this up a flight of stairs by yourself. I wonder if it would be easy to carry it or roll it up the stairs somehow. I am debating between the the Wolf Warrior and the Apollo Pro right now. ( I know they are completely different beasts the advantage of the apollo is that its 30 lbs less and I have a flight of stairs to get to my apartment)
