It has come to my attention that you can adjust the Kaabo Mantis suspension, here is one video showing the general process kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaGae6F9n9eters. Note that Fluid Freeride references this video and also doesn't recommend the adjustment and that the user was turning the adjustment screw the wrong way. So if you do adjust your Mantis suspension, please use caution.

Finally drove my Mantis Pro SE the past weekend and this beauty is scary fast. I’m like you, I want a scooter that is capable of high speed but only when needed. My settings is set to 75% on power, gear set on 3, turbo mode single motor. I should try your settings driving dual motor but on eco. It should be almost the same speed as mine. Thanks for the ride! 🍻

The Mantis is a little beast, so yeah getting your settings dialed in will really help. Thanks!

Thank you for the detailed review and commentaries. Adding 1 more section demoing folding and lifting would be nice.

I'll do that next time, It's a pretty simple fold with the Mantis. I have noticed that the latch is a bit on the small side and I've had it pop off while lifting it. Thanks for the comment.

If possible I would ride a few options. If you know you want 60v and dual motors, the Mantis has a lot going for it, especially at Voro's current sale price.

Nice review! Very detailed. You're the 3rd person I've come across though that has made me think my P settings are off. You said your friend who was 260lbs still got 37mph?? Was that GPS verified or using the scooter speedo?
@ElectronSurfer3 жыл бұрын
Thanks and much appreciated. The 37 mph rider was using the display, I never ride that fast so I didn't really correlate the speedo to GPS at those kind of speed. At speeds under 25mph I found the display registering a little low vs. the GPS speed.

Thank you for the nice review. I cannot decide between Mantis and Inokim OX :/ OX is bit pricier, ( 1700 € mantis vs 2000€ OX weight similar, OX is not that fast but really don't want to go that fast, just want to have comfy ride - good suspension and throttle modulation. Uaaaaa, any hints ?
@ElectronSurfer3 жыл бұрын
I have not ridden any Inokim scooters but from what I've seen they look very good quality-wise. The Mantis suspension can be adjusted somewhat, some distributors don't suggest it though. I would say the throttle modulation isn't that great unless you use eco mode and also tailor the "P" settings. That might not be helpful, hopefully someone else may chime in.

Nice video. I won't reveal where it is for privacy reasons, but I recognized some of these areas right away because I live in the same suburb. I have a Varla Pegasus that has solid tires, and you may agree that some streets in our area haven't been re-paved in quite some time. So it can get a bit bumpy, which makes me consider getting a scooter with pneumatic tires and possibly better suspension. From your explanation that the Mantis suspension is stiff, and the fact that I've heard that elsewhere, makes me think maybe this isn't the choice for me if I want a plusher ride. Though the range would be an upgrade I'm also looking for.
@ElectronSurfer2 жыл бұрын
Hello Neighbor...I am not secretive about my location and yes many of our streets are just plain terrible! I have noticed that most of the Kaabo products come out of the box setup pretty stiff. I have heard you can adjust the suspension but I didn't try. I would just look for tires that have separating rims so the inevitable tire changes are reasonable. I sort of like the solid tire options with suspension, even though you get some brain scrambling. I do have a Eagle One if you want to message me through my website, www.electronsurfer.com you are welcome to ride it. I really like some of the Dualtron products, they don't give them away but the quality is a notch above most. Cheers!

This is probably the best review I've seen on this scooter thank you so much! I've been debating purchasing this scooter I'm looking for something $2,500 or under. What do you think would be my best choice?
@ElectronSurfer3 жыл бұрын
@Jake Allen, much appreciated! $2,500 is a good budget, I would ask what is the biggest factor to you, speed, range, off-road ability, portability and also what is your weight?
@jakenotfromstatefarm3 жыл бұрын
@@ElectronSurfer thank you for your response. This will actually be my first scooter. I way about 200 lb. Honestly I'm looking for something that's the most comfortable ride in my price range. Some off-road capabilities would be nice but not necessary.
@ElectronSurfer3 жыл бұрын
@@jakenotfromstatefarm I would say you want for sure at least 10" tires. You could really go single or dual motor. A lot of dual motor scooters aren't as comfortable as say the Emove Cruiser (very comfy). If you live near a dealer I strongly suggest riding a few scooters. I would look at the Dualtron/Minimotors options, the stems aren't quite a solid as some but the build and motor is worth the cost to me. The elastomer suspension in a lot of the Dualtron's has the best ride I have found for stock scooters. I feel like I may be hindering more than helping. Feel free to ask more questions but most importantly have fun when you get your ride!

my mantis pro se the brakes pulse, front and back, almost like its antilock brakes or maybe battery regen?
@ElectronSurfer2 жыл бұрын
That sounds like the antilock brakes, they just pulse and are not a true ABS in my mind. You can disable that in the P settings, do you have the P settings list?
@Fullblown6713 жыл бұрын
You mentioned a fingerprint reader can be installed on this but what about a key ignition lock? Do they sell one for this particular model?
@ElectronSurfer3 жыл бұрын
The voltmeter/key is more complicated because it ties in the wiring harness, I don't know if they have an option for that. The fingerprint reader works on the Ey3 display and I get it here minimotorsusa.com/collections/accessories/products/dualtron-fingerprint-reader. I've installed a few now and they work nicely.
@Fullblown6713 жыл бұрын
@@ElectronSurfer Oh okay! Cool! Thank You! I am thinking of getting the Mantis 10 Pro as well but I was bummed when I found out that there's no security feature that prevents the scooter from being stolen. With the fingerprint reader it should be a pretty good deterrent.

standing still but going 7mph.. You really need to adjust that throttle to where it should be. Also fix your P settings, your settings are way off. Single motor can do 30mph and dual will do 37-40 without breaking a sweat.
@ElectronSurfer3 жыл бұрын
The P-settings were correct. If you are looking at the GPS speed there is a slight delay because of the nature of the GPS data, also when I am under tree's the GPS may not be totally accurate. Thanks
@donl31303 жыл бұрын
I'm a runner and I use a GPS watch. Often, at the beginning - after acquiring a signal - I can't trust the speed reading. In some rare cases I've had 240 mph reading if I started the GPS right then. Usually it's 10, 12 or 17 mph. If I wait 10-15 seconds I have no problem.

HEY is this scooter too big to fit on the bus ? koz i take the bus sometime to the city.
@ElectronSurfer3 жыл бұрын
I think carrying the scooter onto the bus would be the biggest challenge and if they allow it. When folded both tires are on the ground so you have to hold it or lay it on it's side, I'm not sure it would fit under most bus/train seats.
