If you can't trade then it's not a TCG it's a CCG. and basically at that point you're just collecting NTFs.

Interesting to see that this will work as a faster and less complicated alternate format as Duel Links did for Yugioh. I wonder where do they plan to take it and how they handle the inevitable powercreep seeing they are trying to keep things relatively simple. I have hopes for how they will handle it it since the collecting seems to be the main point of the game, and as such power is not as big a requirement for selling new sets. Lets hope it does not turn into an unplayable mess without paying as Pokemon Go did.

Great video! I have a couple of questions 1. I've read somewhere that there isn't going to be random online battles, just local battles? Is that true? If there is online, is there any indication of a Ranked Ladder in the game? 2. Can you use the crafting system to craft 3* immersive cards? 3. Did they show the pack odds for each card rarity?

The battles will be online, one of the messages in the tutorial mentioned "... battle against AI or people around the world.".

I reminds me of yu-gi-oh duel links, a smaller version of the real game with in game purchases. This is going to be so good. I just hope there’s also a in game currency earned by playing the game and doing objectives to get more packs without putting anything on the game

the fact that we have different packs for each expansion excites me for future archetypes. Like imagine when we get a Team Magma VS Team Aqua expansion, where we have one pack for each team's support and a third for the "neutral" cards. Similar for things like Paradox Pokemon or maybe different gym leaders

Trade has been confirmed however it won’t be available on release. No release date for this feature has been announced yet.

I hate but I’ll be thorough and also point out the the things I like. I like that’s it’s a simplified version of the game. It could be good to teach beginners or children. I like that it’s easily played on mobile. I don’t play mobile games but I know plenty of people do. I don’t like how there’s card art that isn’t available in physical printed form. I don’t like how there’s gonna be a new online Pokémon tcg game while ptcg live is still unfinished because I’m still unable to play expanded fully. I don’t like how there’s so many currencies. The only reason for doing it this way is because of microtransaction mechanics. There are microtransaction mechanics. Both a subscription and a premium currency. Putting that in a game aimed at children seems very predatory. I don’t like how there seems to be systems for enabling a fear of missing out like timed events and currencies and daily login rewards.

Yeah this is super ify which is really disheartening... I def won't be doing the battling very often. Just not enough there for me to be interested in it. Seems more aimed at very young children that can't grasp the larger play boards yet. As a "Collection" app it seems... fine? Sad we can use the code cards though.

Why are they giving up on that game? I play it often and have no issues really.. just the code cards seems pretty much useless because you get plenty in rewards to buy any card you need or want.. Pokémon tcg online definitely held more weight in terms of code/ Pokemon card value
