Torben’s story and Dr. Brown’s encouraging show has helped me not give up, but press in and allow God to sanctify me as He also heals my wounded heart and prepares me for a new season in life. This is so wonderful! I thought the Lord forsook me just the other day. I had no choice but to except an outcome I fought so hard to change! Iwas so angry because I thought I had done my fair share already. Into 3 or 4 hours on day 1 of feeling defeated and "forsaken" God sent the solution. With egg on my face, once again, sorry and embarrassed by not holding onto faith, said sorry to God and Jesus. We must follow our instructions, we are given enough faith for today....if we look at tomorrow we might lose heart. Everytime I miss the mark, I say next time I'll get it right. But it is true that difficulties and hardship forces us to muscle up. I 💕 what was said about the OT and our share in the Kingdom.

Dr Brown, Torben is, to say the least, a very controversial men... he have been here in Brazil in 2017 I think , and he left a big mess behind! The things he did and said around whenever he was here brought division and a lot of trouble to the Church. He had no respect to the local leaders, and left many confused. Inmy point of view, his actuation here was kinda manipulative and the fruits he left were not good.

Hi No. That is not the truth. I am still in contact with some of the leaders. Yes. There was a problem that the network did not allow woman to baptize and I strongly disagree with that. And that became a problem. But what you say here is not how it was. I was just in Brazil one month ago and meet several of the people again. But today I will have don’t things different.

The problem arises when there are strong ideas that need to be challenged. The idea that a woman could not baptize was one of them. Yes, this can leave a mess as people hold on to those beliefs. Always ask yourself what the problem is about. That being said, I should have taken more time to address this issue with the leaders one by one, and I am sorry I did not do that. Several of the leaders were urging me to address the problem because they also struggled with that idea.

@@WillboeBaginsBaptism is not following a church meeting but the gospel that is being preached. The call to preach the gospel and made disciple is for all people. Men and women.

We have a prescription about baptizing - for sure, but after that for deeper understanding we're looking how the first church was doing this. And correct me if I'm wrong, but were in the NT random people and women did this? Usually it was ordained people, and of course, I believe that there can be an example that women could do it, but rather as an exception not a rule.

There is definitely something amiss. And I personally find something to be off about a lot of things in this interview: Torben's newly-found revelation about needing to read the Old Testament after all these years, his apparent lack of discernment / spiritual unawareness during much of his time in prison, and whatever stopped him from flowing in the Spirit during this interview (the Bible says these things come easier with experience). Overall, glad he professes Christ and tells others. However, like a lot of professed Christians, Torben seems incredibly earthy and spiritually dull for someone who's known the Lord since 1994 and talks about living out the Book of Acts. May we all do better as Christians to follow the Lord--especially those professing to be leaders and teachers
