I remember I pulled up to the entrance of Walmart and this elderly white woman opened my passenger side car door sat down and closed the door oblivious to the fact she was in the wrong car. I said, "Well hello there!" she glanced over with a surprised look on her face and says, "Oh my, you're not my husband!" and I said, "What gave it away." and we laughed so hard. Her husband who was directly in front of me had the same make, model and color car I had. Mistakes shouldn't end in gunfire. So tragic but glad this young lady is still with us.

My mom was in the driver seat and I was in the back waiting for my sister who was in the bank. An older woman was at the ATM, turned around, and right away got in our car in the passenger seat. She had a wad of cash in her hand and she screamed when she saw us. She apologized and got out quickly and ran to her husband who was a few parking spots away. My mom and I laughed so hard and felt bad for her.

This is too common. Also there was that young man who had anxiety who got in the wrong car when he went with his mom to pick up his little brother from their school. The police was called because he accidentally went to the wrong cafe and apologized. Then the cops came by asked him questions, and when he tried taking his anxiety pill the cops shot and killed him thinking it was going to be a drug deal gone bad or something. Even cops shoot people for nothing.

Meaning no reasonable person could have been in the same situation and been fearful for their life. The friend got in the car, realized they had the wrong car, apologized and left. I see it all the time when travelling, with those under 30 walking straight into you and saying “excuse me” instead of keeping to the right and going around people, pausing half a second so people don’t run into one another. I am so happy to see Payton recovering so well from her injuries and not only recovering, but thriving and she showed the whole world that evil can never triumph over good. That dirty roach who shot her may be living at home and out of jail for now but I honestly do not know how that thing sleeps at night knowing what he did! He is a callous POS with no moral compass. As a father of four daughters, my heart goes out to this young girl. This cowardly man made a decision to shoot these young girls after one of them opened his car door by mistake. She was apologetic but her apologies fell on death ears as he chose to shoot them. He should be arrested for premeditated attempted murder, bodily harm, and not be out on bail. These young, beautiful teenage girl's lives will be changed forever because of this horrible cowards actions. I pray that they will receive justice and that this criminal will be put away for a long time. I pray for a speedy recovery for this young girl and that she will be able to continue doing the things she loves 🙏

Michael was the perfect person to interview her: athlete to athlete. Even he looked like he was fighting to keep it together when she told him she was trying to keep everyone else calm and especially when she described her injuries.
