Always satisfying to see yourself on the daily front page in a video. And for my 2 cents: I think you're overrating the 'no rares' bonus. A lot of rare cards give you crazy power spikes, and can make the difference when it comes to perfecting elites and bosses. That can easily give way more than the 50 from no rares.

I think his entire issue is generally looking at the bonuses, instead of actually just finishing/winning the runs, until he learns to do dailies a little bit better.

As an added tip on rares, on hoarder runs, it can actually be advisable to take rare cards. Pauper is 50 points, so as long as you manage to get 2 copies of two different rares, that'll give you the same 50 points from collector bonuses thanks to hoarder

Hot take on Pauper - might be better ignoring it, as the addition of rares gives you a big advantage attaining other bonuses, makes perfects much easier, plus rares are way more fun.

hot tip of the day: when you're picking your path on the map you can hover your mouse over the lil map on the right and it'll highlight every type of room for ya. Maybe you already knew but I find it pretty helpful to do

I think you need to reconsider not taking rare cards. it's worth 50 to have no rares. but you get 25 for perfecting an elite and 50 for a boss. So if having rare cards make it even a little more likely you get a perfect they're well worth taking. Beyond that, if you're trying for speed the rare cards doing more damage will get you more points if they let you get through faster. And that's not counting things like beyond perfect that's a lot more points.

Great run! Just a minor thing I noticed but if you're chasing that thick deck bonus, Orrery is a good relic to watch out for in shops. I think you skipped over it. Still, an amazing score and a good episode!

Ironclad is easily the strongest class in Slay the Spire. I would say that watcher and silent are tied after silent buffs with roboboy in dead last, due primarily to major card nerfs. I like watcher's huge damage swings but there are some cards that kind of fall short in my book, looking at you pressure point.

Great run, Eggo, but you don't always need to chase the "bad deck" points. Sure, no rares or 50 cards gives a bonus, but a worse deck can make you miss perfects, elite kills, and speed bonuses. IMO focus on doing the best run possible and then start making it harder if you have cards which work in a big deck etc.

IDK how NL thinks he shouldn't take rares so much. If they let him perfect two elites, the score difference is made up. It also is made up if he perfects a single boss because of the rares.

what do you mean? Perfect is only for bosses, and he most certainly didn't perfect the first boss because Mayhem played a strike on the boss, while he had no block and the enemy had that "thorns" buff or whatever.

The curses do not affect your perfects. The two perfects on the score breakdown are for BOSSES only, and he did perfect the act 2 and 3 bosses, but not the act 1 boss because of the mayhem. The score modifier for perfecting ELITES is called Champion (the one above Perfect).
