Very useful information given with good amount of clarity. Regarding handshake, it should also be explained what should be done by man and woman when one offers handshake and other person does not.

What I like, find significant about body language is that it not only works in terms of giving the impression that you want but perhaps even more important is that it effectively makes oneself feel the way one wants, i.e. self-confident.
@kararonin2 жыл бұрын
That is very true! Body language has a huge impact on the way you feel about yourself. Thanks for watching Ee Zee!

Thank you for making this, Kara. You mention to not hold eye contact the entire time to avoid appearing too intense. Question: what is a respectful way to break from eye contact for a moment? Should I look away? Close my eyes for example?
@kararonin Жыл бұрын
Great question! I tend to look away to the side. But closing eyes works too. It can make you look like you're thinking or considering what that person said.

Hi .. For Handshakes between opposite genders, is there any point to note? Particularly from the point of view of handshake firmness.

Another great video. I am not sure how to use hand movements. I will try to follow yours. I like your wardrobe, very subtle and professional. Are some of them from Jacquie?
@kararonin2 жыл бұрын
Hi Suman! Hand gestures can be confusing. Try to follow what I suggest in this video but make sure it feels comfortable for you. When it's comfortable, you will appear more natural. Thanks for your compliment on my wardrobe! I bought the shirt a couple of years ago. I think I got it from Zara in France when I was on holidays there (back when we could travel) :)

When do you not node? What if you disagree with what the a person is communicating do you stop the node?
@kararonin Жыл бұрын
You can nod if you disagree by combining it with, "I see" or "I understand ". This helps communicate that you hear what they're saying. Then you can continue with your perspective.
@Oz1111 Жыл бұрын
just watched another video where a writer, vanessa van Edwards, wrote a book on the body language of leaders. she says that leaders hold less eye contact when someone speaking to them, smile less and dont nod. her study on the topic seems to go against your advice.
