This is a simple exercise from the Postural Restoration Institute call Left Sidelying Right Glute Max. It helps to shift the right pelvis and femur into external rotation, which are typically oriented in internal rotation. This pelvis and femoral internal rotation is the reason we see right knees turning in, and right knees collapsing inward. It is also why we see a right foot sometimes turned outward as the system from hip to foot is trying to reorient itself for movement forward due to the pelvis orientation to the right.
