Exercise is a foundational habit for good health. This course will detail the components of a healthy exercise program for the older adult. During this one-hour course, we will discuss the roles of strengthening exercises, cardiovascular exercise, balance exercise, and flexibility exercises in promoting health and longevity. Participants will learn the benefits each type of exercise offers and how to implement a personalized exercise program.
About our speaker:
Jakob Hildebrandt, PT, DPT is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy working at MGH Waltham. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan and received his doctoral degree in physical therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Jakob treats patients of all ages and activity levels. His clinical interests include lower extremity and shoulder injuries. Jakob also dedicates some of his time to educating physical therapy students and residents.
