Weak knees and knee pain can cuase you to do all sorts of movements to avoid the stress and pressure as you walk, kneel and any movement that puts you rknees in a weight baring position.
These modified squat options are great for working your lower body including your quads, hamstrings, glutes and hips which greatly helps take stress of the knees.
These are my personal workouts and what i do to help strengthen my legs, glutes and hips and also directly target the knee muscles, joints and ligaments. What i have found is avoidance or just strengthening the muscles around the knee is only part of the equation. I now directly target the knees but do so in a manner that does not force excess stress on the knee muscle groups and I move forward in my quest to eliminate weak knees.
I currently follow many of the Knees over Toes concept but am slowling building the strength to move towards the advanced level.
