When you said only with wrist, do you mean also with your forearm? Not necessarily arm.

Greetings. If you want to train the four main forearm muscles (extensors, flexors, pronators, supinators) then you'll need to keep the arm completely still and rotate via circumduction of the wrist only (move the hand in a circular motion about the wrist joint) - this will force the forearm muscles to do all the work. If, however, you wish to exercise the rotator cuff muscles for example, then you'll keep the wrist 'locked' firmly in place and 'stir' with the entire (stiff) arm at the shoulder joint. Likewise, you can use up/down (flexion/extension) at the elbow (using bicep and tricep) to generate the rotor spin, but these are quiet inefficient and, really, the ball is best used for forearm development because of the focused range of motion at the wrist can really build fast rotor speeds which the other two methods cannot match and thus, the wrist will produce the most resistance from the ball. Hope this answer helps. BR Rory

Can this help tennis and golfers elbow?
@rpmpower Жыл бұрын
Hi Bella, thank you for your message. We'd be happy to put our money down that Powerball is one of the world's best (if not the best) rehabilitation devices for Tennis and Golfer's elbow / RSI. You can see the video we made specifically for this here (Tennis Elbow): kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGqxqqied6qenqs The simple act of spinning Powerball in the conventional way ("stirring the pot" as we like to say), takes the wrist through its full range of motion while adding resistance. This efficiently stresses the 4 main forearm muscles (the ones that give the actual mobility to the wrist) and encourages blood flow (which brings the collagen healing nutrients which reduce inflammation) while also warming up those muscles and allowing them to loosen out and stretch...which in turn takes pressure of those inflamed tendons that connect the muscles to the elbow joint and eases overall pain and discomfort. See? It's all simple when you break it down 🤗 Long story short, Powerball does a wonderful job on all upper limb RSI conditions, you'll be delighted, we promise. Best wishes, Rory
