I think what some people do is find another person soon after a break up to prevent feeling lonely or fill some kind of void, but they don't give themselves time to heal. Mariah was amazing! She was mature, talked about her emotions honestly but was still so kind. I experienced my ex being inconsiderate and lacking empathy after we broke up. They were hurt/ caught up in a new love interest so they acted immaturely with complete disregard about how i would feel. We had a special bond & i just thought they would respect that - i had to be the bigger person & forgive. I’m in a better place now but it took a lot of pain to get here. Laura Medlin it’s not a bad thing, as badly as I originally believed I would immediately get back in a relationship, I ended up giving myself time to be single by focusing on my friends, education, and getting back into dating and it was the best thing to happen to me because it allowed me to find my own value and self-worth. This reminds me of my brother. And it’s sort of confusing story. My older brother has only ever had a serious relationship with 2 girls. He dated 1 of the girls for 2-3 years before they broke up. He then dated another girl for 6-7 months and got her pregnant. (They’re both 17). He and his baby’s momma broke up, but he’s still raising the child, and they’re good friends.
