My first ever best friend was like a sister to me and she finally made me feel like I wasn't alone. When we became friends, it became easier for me to make other friends because I didn't feel like an outcast anymore. We became a group of five against the world for almost four years. But then my best friend and our other closest friend started hanging out more and excluding the rest of us. My other two friends were always closer to each other than to the rest of us so they did their own thing, which left me as an awkward third wheel sitting quietly while MY BEST FRIEND practically ignored me and only now and then talked to me to correct me when I tried to contribute to the conversation. One day I went and sat with a friend of mine who has always been nice to me and saw something was wrong. I had known her best friend since 8th grade and we all spent the day laughing together. I felt bad about leaving my friends and not telling them where I went, but they didn't seem to care. When I tried explaining to them how I felt, they just stared at their phones. I stopped talking to them after that. It makes me mad to see how easily they just continued on without me while I had to remove all my photos from the last 4 years of my life from the walls as each one of them had them in it. It sucked. I have new friends now, but it still hurts because they were my first real friends.

It sounds stupid, but when you get over it you realise that it kinda worked.
