5:53 fun fact: depending on where exhaust is located it won’t submerge the vehicle for an example the comet engine will stop because exhaust is submerged in a specific limit but for a truck like phantom it will take longer for it to be fully submerged

Overall, Gta 4 is better. But Driver Parallel Lines is much better and bigger in terms of map (New York City/New Jersey) size and layout. Much closer to the real New York/Jersey. However, in Gta 4, it's little random, and very scaled down, compared to the real New York/Jersey.

the cars in gta 5 are programmed to stop when the exhausts are submerged underwater, if you take a truck and drive it in the water the truck will continue to work even in there. It will only stop if the exhaust's end touches water. by DarkViperAU
