I'm an ADC main and just saying I LOVE the occasional glacial augment veigar bot game. Works really well when your team is AD heavy, and any slight loss in DPS is more than made up for in the extra utility (particularly when your ad mid is a DPS bruiser like yasuo or irelia)

I’m actually surprised that you didn’t talk about how her passive makes it so when you lose vision on someone, your auto attack does not follow. With all the reworks and new champions coming out, it feels like it is easy to make it that Kalista just can’t attack. Don’t even try to approach an akali because she will shroud and you don’t have enough time to wind up an auto and it to reach her every time she peaks. When shaco got mini-reworked he saw more play and kalista cant deal with him. Senna can make her lose vision on the entire enemy team which makes it even harder for her to do anything in a team fight. Overall I’m just confused on why that is still part of her passive.

I'll say this as a support main. I haven't started that long ago (about 550 games in total) and played with a Kallista only twice but those were the two of the most enjoyable games I've ever had. That ult can hard counter almost all engaging CC supports (Leona/Pyke/Blitz comes in mind for now, Thresh to some extent too I think) and I still can't forget about the game when the first Kallista told me how her ult works. There was an annoying Blitz as en supp ( you know those toxic ones, laughing, spamming emotes, flashing mastery and all that) trying to tilt us but we played safe initially and once she and I both hit lv6, I got hooked on purpose, Kallista ulted, then I launched myself flanking them and ulted too(I was playing Sona), hit both that Blitz and the adc, and got two of the cleanest kills I've ever been a part of. That Blitz got killed 6 or 7 times during the laning phase and en adc flamed him real bad in all chat for being toxic and useless at the same time. Man I wish I could play with more Kallistas!

@@djakdawid4254 these are facts.... i played her... ii even main her before...the fancy footwork before has 100%scale attack speed.. attack slow have nos affect in the passive.. also.. kalista now is glitcy due to less attackspeed base... cant cancel your passive attack hop.. its bullshit...now that season 10 coming kalista will be back.. for sure with the addition of the new conqueror...dont disregard the fact that this past year meta are assasins role.. with the addition of lethality items which got nerfed but still strong..

@@djakdawid4254 She gets deleted by anything in teamfights... Without Runaan's you're nobody. You can not breach their frontline. You can only win early fights lv 1-2. You're full item, they lower your hp, only thing you can do? JUST BAIT. No damage, no burst. Why not riot rework this champion and make it a badass support? The only thing you can do best is to kill steal, and why not turn her ult into something that gives the whole gold to her ADC? Add more CC and you're done.

Watching this really brings back memories i had playing Kalista. She was an underdog champ that i would barely or maybe never saw anyone play for weeks. I loved how her playstyle could really show a players skill while being flashy at the same time and that really motivated me to try learn her. I managed to get challenger in season 7 by 1 tricking her and back then i still felt like i haven't even reached the limits of what the champion was capable of. Its been a while since I've touched league but after watching how much attention shes been getting from riot recently i really hope to get back into it and play her again.

Don't think that'll ever happen. She's like Yasuo, Fizz, Riven, a very overloaded kit. Those champs can be 'weak' depending on the patch, but never too much, especially in the hands of good players.

Man, when Kalista was released I fell in love with how she felt to play. (not because she was strong, but because she was fun and unique compared to other marksman) Now I can't stand even the thought of playing her thanks to the uncountable nerfs over the years. All they ever had to do to make her more balanced was lower the bonus damage per spear on her rend, and make no other changes to her release kit. Instead, they nerf/remove literally everything _other_ than that one problem ability. They remove boot enchants, remove her hops gaining distance based on boot tier, remove her increased back hop distance, make her autos fail if she loses vision of her target, make her autos always deal 90% damage instead, tie her to her soulbond even more with the attack speed stuff where she _loses_ attack speed when her soulbond isn't near, making her hop speed and distance affected by attack speed slows, and so many other nerfs that together took her from strong then to complete shit now.

And even if you do what you said thiing is she will still be OP beacuse well passive. That made her the most mobille champion in game even so then Yasuo as we consider him to be quite mobile. I got kited in minion wave and I played Yasuo that was not balanced back then it was almost imposible to kill her beacuse double back distance dash. Even now she can still do that if a player is good and he got ahead.

The problem with Kalista is that she wants to build attack speed, but if you utilize her passive with high enough attack speeds you lose so much DPS. She wants attack speed yet it can't even be fully used with her passive.

I picked up Kalista a little over a month ago and she’s by far my favorite ADC, idk if i’ve just been having competent supports or not but in around 60 games i’ve gone from no mastery points to mastery 7 with her and she’s my most played and high win rate champion in ranked. Hoping she could still get some more love to put her at the same level as ADCs like kai

I feel like these days, especially in lower ranks, people lose to her because they underestimate the champion (she's still a carry at the end of the day :P) and that no one knows the matchup. I've talked to ADC mains who started playing the game in s9-10 and they've only played against her once or twice and have no idea how she works (which makes it more fun to stomp people with tbh). I'm really happy to see people in s11 enjoying my favourite ADC so much and I hope you keep at her in the long run through the inevitable flame you'll get for picking her solo, it's so worth it

I’ve been playing since around season 3 so i’m a bit overly aware of what every champion does haha. it is fun to catch people off guard by chunking their health with a rend though 🤪

I feel like for how different and difficult she is to play her damage should be rewarding. Considering now every champion has utility, mobility, and the ability to one shot she doesn't stand out and I feel like she needs her immunity to slows and a couple of reverts overall.
