Hundreds of thousands of Russians fled their country after it announced conscription for its war in Ukraine, heading in large numbers to countries such as Turkey, Armenia, or Georgia. But for many living in the east of Russia, the nearest and easiest destination was Mongolia.

Mongolians, we welcome anyone who don’t support killing innocent people and invading their neighbour. Also our door is always open for same blood Buryats and others. For RFL team, please use the right name for our capital city. It is called Ulaanbaatar, not Ulanbator

TY for your gracious attitude. I personally don't need to come there but have been immersed in discovering Mongolia through KZbin, lol. I have seen numerous videos about the Mongolian Nomads living in the various parts of the country and tending to and living off of their herds. It is so interesting to me. And recently I am watching a lengthy video about the Franklin Graham Evangelistic Crusade held in Ulaanbaatar's big conference center. The local artists and musicians who played before his message are so talented and wonderfully gifted. I have been loving Mongolia from afar. Peace, love, and the grace of Jesus be with you, now and forever more.

The Buryats are the ethnic group most targeted for mobilisation in Russia. They have had the most KIA. Followed by Dagestanis.

You may want to spell out the pronunciation phonetically of the capital because it’s hard to see the difference. Unless it’s ooh-lahn-bah-tar and he said it like bah-tor. edit: wow, I see they actually misspelled it too.

If they stayed in 🇷🇺and forced to get a few week’s training, then flung into the first line of defence with little weapons, they wouldn’t have long to live…shot by second line if they retreated, and have no rights to defy or get law council ,As 🇷🇺 controls the paperwork/their lives, …all you have to do is hold up an A4 blank sheet of paper in a main square in 🇷🇺 to get arrested, beaten, or worse..💙💛💙

Buryats have the highest Mobilization rate by Russian authorities and highest death rate in Ukraine. These 3 are skilled, so lucky to be able to earn a decent living. There's somewhat of a quiet Mobilization going on in Russia, to not rattle the population. I'd say sneaky. Authorities just show up at your door with draft papers.

Just like the old Soviet days! Lead a quiet home life & don't answer the door unless you:re expecting someone. With everyone having cellphones, don't open the door unless they call. USSR 2.0

Appreciate the Buryat activists , as Putler conducts the genocide of their ethnicity , by exploiting them in this war . My friends fled Russia, too, a while back, settling abroad. ..as millions did, since Putler is in power. I do not judge , but there was a lack of action of many Russians, when the war started , low numbers who went to protests against the war ,against mobilization , many thinking that will not be affected..

As a European it is easy to forget major parts of Russia are in Asia. If the two guys would've told me they were Chinese or Korean I'd 100% believe them.

When I was a kid in the 70s I regularly read a mammoth Time/Life book on WW2 my parents had. In it was a picture of Soviet POWs who were from Siberia. That's how I figured it out.

@Korvas Yes, they are the indigenous inhabitants of Siberia, but the same Buryats are Mongols, which already speaks of them as people associated with Genghis Khan, there are Tuvans, they are not Mongols, but were in the troops of Genghis Khan.

@Bob Bowles yes, if you speak medieval Turkish and have some sense of the language, you can basically walk from Istanbul to Ulanbataar and be understood or understand. (Though speaking Persian might be better for long stretches). I highly recommend Peter Frankopan's history _The Silk Roads_ to understand how that happened.

@The Zero Line many went willingly, for money. Putler exploited the poverty and lack of education he kept in some republics...Buryats, Dagestani, Ossetians, Tuvans are most exploited in this war. Buryat activist fought, when mobilization was announced, to save some, as saw the genocide of their ethnicity.

Why show cowards?? People that forsake their Brothers, Sisters and Country when their country faces a crisis? Russia is all out to protect their Russian brothers and sisters in Donbass & Luhansk region that being constantly attack by Ukraine army. It was supposed to be a peaceful civilian protest but the attack got so worse even the Ukraine army killed the Mariupol policemen and burnt down the police station that refused to arrest the peaceful civilians protestors. The militants also shot and killed the peaceful protestors. Russia invited France and Germany to witness the Minsk Accord but it was a SHAM by Merkel to buy time for Ukraine to rearm. There is no concern of civilians safety in the Donbass & Luhansk region. Somehow Europe turn a blind eye of the atrocious in the donbass. They are so blind until a big 777 MH17 being shot down. Russia have no choice but to liberate that region. What use of these people to the new country that thry can back stab you the next day...
