Existence Is An Absolute Nightmare And This Is Why - The Big Bang

We all know existence is an absolute nightmare. It is partly why I play so much VR… BUT so is understanding it, and this is why. Note: I will alternate science videos with VR reviews for a while. I haven’t given up on reviewing VR games, I even use a fair bit of VR in this video.
Ever since I mentioned I was a science teacher in my Elite Dangerous VR I have gotten manyyyy emails about it. So, I decided let’s combine VR and science into a video series about teaching science.
All my music and sound is from here: www.epidemicso...
My Patreon: / upisnotjump
My merch / shirt I was wearing: store.dftba.co...
Twitter: upisnotjump
Starting with Physics I am covering how we got to where we are now, beginning at the Big Bang. BUT I will be covering chemistry and biology as we go, as I love teaching all 3 of the sciences. I will say honestly so far it really was an absolute nightmare trying to understand then explain this part of our existence. I can really see why I was better at chemistry than physics…
I used 2 virtual reality games and one 2D game to make the visuals for this Existence is an Absolute Nightmare - This Is Why episode. I used Elite Dangerous VR for all the ship scenes, Universe Sandbox VR when I help up and threw planets about, and Space Engine for the colourful backgrounds and scenes where I am moving quickly through space. They all great games, and all can be played without virtual reality.
These video games are here:
Elite Dangerous: store.steampow...
Universe Sandbox: store.steampow...
Space Engine: spaceengine.org/
Elite Dangerous, VR or not, is a beautiful game and is full of amazing sights, some that I showed in the video were recorded by ObsidianAnt, check out his amazing Elite Dangerous/Space videos here: • Space Engine - The Bes...
In the background I used the FTL soundtrack by Ben Prunty: • The entire FTL: Faster...

This is a pretty genuine recreation of my science lessons, I tried to help my students see why science is so exciting, rather than bombarding them with facts. This way they would hopefully (but very rarely I assume) go away with an interest to learn about it when I wasn’t around, which to me is what a teacher should do I want to continue this series along with my VR reviews (the next video is a Blades and Sorcery VR review). So if you enjoyed please consider joining my patreon and help supporting the series : www.patreon.com/UpIsNotJump also also Some of the clips of Elite Dangerous that I showed in the video were recorded by ObsidianAnt, check out his beautiful and amazing Elite Dangerous/space videos here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4DEo6yOfZWKebs

@Meltoss I don't have any issue with existence as a singularity, what strikes me as strange is why is reality not still that singularity? Are we really sure that it is not still a singularity from the outside of the universe? Could dimensionality be an illusion of some sort? Everything was piled on to an n-point (which cant actually be called a space cause this point has no area); all the energetic particles, all the anti particles, yeah ALL of BOTH in the exact same place existing and not annihilating each other because time/motion doesn't exist yet (time cannot be said to exist there because there is no state change to measure)- Why does the singularity lose cohesion? What force could act upon it if the entire universe is inside the singularity? Another question, are we actually sure that regular matter & antimatter annihilate each other out of existence? What if they still exist in a combined state that has lost nearly all it's ability to interact with the observable universe? (cough cough darkmatter/energy cough cough cough) that sure would tie up some loose ends eh?

I wanna say something about Science and Atheism on YT, if i may. Ever noticed how Science-KZbinrs and Atheist-KZbinrs are basically 'blood-related'? They even all cover Kent Hovind and such people; which aint a Coincidence. The Fanbases don't overlap enough though. Professor Dave pointed out in his video about the Discovery Institute: Some right-now literally fight for a Reverse of the Seperation-of-Church-and-State, which would be devastating. Telltale says to that: We need more Science-Enthusiasts and Atheists in-Office (he even provides infos how to run for Office).

It's a bit inaccurate to say we have "no idea" how the matter-antimatter imbalance occurred. Physicists are obviously very knowledgeable about physics, this means that when they are confronted with a mystery in physics, it is very significant. But this often leads to miscommunications with non-physicists. Whenever you hear "we have no idea why this is the way it is" it usually means "we don't have a full picture yet." As for the matter imbalance, there are several particles that break the balance when they decay (break down into other particles). Kaons for example can transform back and forth between being matter and antimatter, and when they decay, normal matter particles are created more often than antimatter particles. Strange B mesons also have this matter-antimatter switching ability. While we still have more to learn, we do understand some kinds of mechanisms that could help lead to the imbalance (though we don't have a full picture). There are many exciting things to learn and explore in the scientific frontier, but we are not just "blowing in the wind." :)

Cons: There doesn't seem to be *any* plot, stat management is boring as hell, your character gets deleted after about a hundred years, there's no manual or tutorial, the other players are dicks more often than not, and the classes are unbalanced as *Hell* with white males getting a *TON* of boosts, female characters of *any* class get less money, fewer points in their strength stat to start with, *and* have a debuff called "menstruation" that triggers *every month.* The gameplay is atrocious, you have to log off for about 8 hours a day, there's no save/load function, no cheat codes, microtransactions are *everywhere,* character customization is randomized and the microtransaction system for altering your character's body is *WAY* too overpriced. The game world is unFATHOMABLY huge but you're stuck on one teeny tiny planet. There's a faction of trolls called "antivaxxers" trying to kill off other characters and give them crippling debuffs by duping people into ignoring the vaccine item. There are people that take PVP *WAY* too far. And that's just off the top of my head! Pros: To be fair, there are some players *aren't* total dicks, and some of them have really interesting character arcs. The graphics and physics engines are top tier, even if the art style isn't as varied as I'd like. There's also some genuinely great user-generated content like the minigames and videos. Overall, I definitely wouldn't recommend the game. I mean I was lucky enough to get a 6ft, white-male character but even *with* that I personally *haaaaaaaaaaaaate* this game. I'll log off eventually but since I got an initial subscription I figure I might as well stick around until things inevitably go to shit. I mean, *some* jackass on the development team thought it would be a great idea to have a *planet degradation* mechanic where it becomes more inhospitable the more you pollute! This even though the space travel segment comes waaaaaaaay after the industrial fossil-fuel phase.
