Just one weekend, one commentator and a bunch of skilled laborers.

Yes, these "reality TV shows" are reality in name only. The equivalent cost of raw materials and labour (skilled and semi-skilled) would be enough to convince you to simply visit your local botanical gardens for your "waterfall fix"

This is what comes up on KZbin after hours of research on a DIY build. So glad it came up last. Great video on what not to do! I'm waiting to see the salmon climb the concrete fish ladder on their final approach and entering the plastic bucket.

How hard would it be to make it more of an S shape, and to rotate the flat rocks a bit so it looks less like stairs and more like a natural stream or waterfall? Also, what can you do with the start and finish so it doesn't suddenly begin and end in the middle of the lawn?
@gogreen19632 жыл бұрын
So simple. I was afraid I'd need to run electric and buy a pump. Just need a shovel and some rock. Oh, and a hose to fill it up.

The liners and boxes is the most technical park and some companies use spray foam so you can make the water go where you want and if it doesn’t suit your liking you just cut it out and refoam it.

So does the pump auto power itself? I feel like the electrical step was skipped?
@thephotonepoch97594 ай бұрын
Yes, the pumps require a direct power supply. Will have to run a cable to an outlet.

You didn't show how you got power for the pump.

Speaking as an avid DIYer, this is NOT a weekend project.

Weekend project for a big crew like they hired but for one or two people definitely not. A super small version yes but not all this.

So its my understanding if you have fish or other wildlife the concrete is not recommended. Plus the concrete will ruin your liner if you have to make adjustments for some reason.

See problematic lawn during intro? When this home had been constructed, engineer first had every bit of soil excavated and hauled away. Now home owner expected to maintain a picturesque lawn over clay.

That looks terrible and so unnatural. Go check out the folks at Aquascape or Atlantis Water Gardens if you want see something that looks beautiful and natural.

My Lord this is beyond bad. First bad location, unatural looking, this is more like stairs. No concrete needed. Jesus I'm a diy'er and my pond looks so much better. lol
