Great "blind date" review. I thought Autel would be the DJI alternative but they scare me at the moment. Not sure about investing in a lot of false promises. The Black Hawk 2 Pro looks interesting with future abilities to grow up. Their website touts files shared are stored in their Utah, USA headquarters rather than outside of the U.S. I believe that is a plus as well.

I threw it into theater mode, and cranked up the resolution for KZbin as high as it would go. Ken: I am sweating harder than a politician taking a polygraph! So stealing this line! Ken Didn't RTFM, so I can't hold EXO responsible for the what do I do now moments. 😂😂 This was out of the box, throw it in the air and see what happens. The color looked great. I would certainly say on par with the Air, and Mini 2. The transmission flawless, and we haven't played with settings yet, but with a little practice and tuning rates, I can see usable commercial grade video. Not 6K level, but seriously who the hell uses 6K and actually has a 6K display. For real-estate it gets compressed and put on Zillow or somewhere similar, where not even 4K would be fully appreciated. Horizon tilt wasn't super noticeable to me on the Blackhawk, although it was there. I think this is correctable, and if it is less than the FIMI it is a win. I am really interested in high wind handling. They also have a night mode, which I think it following in line with the night mode for Autel. It should be impressive for sure.

One can not see the video changes all that much on the cell phone. One has to look at the actual video mp4. zooming in and out is much better on the mp3 the camera produces. Your cell phone is limited and not as good as the drone video. There is also a setting for return to home height. If you have it set for 200 feet it will shoot u[ward and fly back at 200'

How do these drones compare to the new DJI Mini 3 Pro? I’m a prosumer looking to buy a drone that I can use to expand my videography for my KZbin channel and was set on the Mini 3 Pro until I heard about these drones. If I go Exo, I think I’m leaning towards the BH 2 Pro over their Mini Pro. But DJI is the standard for comparison and they will have parts support for a long time that I don’t know if I will get that out of Exo. I’m so torn! 😔

When I saw you flying rebranded Hubsan drones, I thought I was on the wrong channel, LOL. Good review, you were honest and fair. These drones have come a long way since the first Zino, and the prices have gone way up as well. Those clouds in the video were beautiful, almost like you painted them in, great location for testing. Ron, you should take a look at the organization between EXO and Hubsan before assuming it is a rebranded Hubsan. It was noted that EXO partnered with Hubsan to manufacture the drone they designed. It would be a bit disappointing for a "ground up" US company to simply sell out or to outright lie that it is not a Hubsan (if it really is) -- i do not think this is the case as i have heard it explained to me. One note, the Ranger class drone EXO has is way over priced @ 349 on sale with OA. it is a "first drone" class drone and shouldnt be priced for more that $199 (the OA on that leaves little to be desired). I am affiliate and looking forward to seeing good things from this company.

These are Hubsan with a different brand. One is a hubsan ace, and the other the hubsan mini pro, the the heat cage. So u did it u finally flew hubsans lol. Hubsan does have good video quality and nice colors, and have great flight time, but dohave horizon tilt . The mini acts the same as the hubsan zino mini pro, the video shakes sometimes. The mini probably has good lowlight like the zm pro does as they have the same sensor of the mini 3 pro.

Hey theses are rebranded Chinese drones from Alibaba. If you want a good drone get a dji drone or an Autel. The air 2s is awesome and I have hundreds of flights on it. You won’t be disappointed by a dji drone unlike this thing

Nice video sir. I just ordered my Blackhawk 2 Pro. I am gonna do a user review on it as well and demonstrate some of the features like I did for the original Blackhawk. Just a thought, for the horizon tilt and drifting issues you talked about, in my experience a proper multi calibration wll take care of that (Compass, Horizontal and IMU). Happy Flyin my Friend!

I have the EXO Ranger and I consider it a $250 toy!! This looks to be a lot better. The transmission of video on the Ranger is bad!! But it flies pretty well and stable. The return to home height seems to be 200 feet which I'm good with. You see great reviews and you see horrible over there customer service and it's just a relabled model from China 🇨🇳 I switched to dji a while back and my Air 2s blows anything EXO can put out there away!! EXO is good for seeing if you want to get into the hobby I guess.. good video and as usual honest and no holding back on true comments 👍

If you're really critical of latency, you can easily measure the latency in the office using your phone stop watch and a second camera. Just take a photo of the RC video feed, showing the stop watch (running) in the drone camera view. With the RV feed and the phone in the same photo, you can subtract the two numbers to calculate actual latency in ms. 150ms is acceptable for DJI camera drones (even less with the FPV model), anything under 150ms is gravy. I suggest you include hard latency measurements in your reviews, instead of a seat-of-the-pants visual with the hand wave. It would be better for viewer comparison, using hard data. All drones have latency, it's a matter of how much.
