To understand what is happening in Kai's "Mmmh" MV, you have to keep in mind EXO's storyline and concept. As you are starting to discover, each new MV or project from EXO tells another part of the story, and over the years, we fans have started to create a timeline and idea of what we think each part of the story is telling us. Yes, Kai's superpower is teleportation, so what you see throughout his "Mmmh" MV is him teleporting. For example, why you see Kai move a fraction of a frame in the scene when his backup dancers "disappeared," is because they didn't disappear. Kai was the one that moved when he teleported from another time or place at that moment. In other words, he was a fraction of a second off on purpose to show that he was the one moving as he teleported, not the dancers. With what I know about EXO's storyline, nothing is ever random, and even the most minute of details have been designed to give clues and hints within EXO's story. So, even the subtle little details that you might overlook -- such as placing Kai in that shot a fraction of a second off -- could actually be done intentionally. And, I think, at the very end scene, what you are seeing is SM connecting Kai's solo storyline to EXO's storyline. You see D.O.'s power of earth (dirt) which gives him super strength/force and Xiumin's power to control snow/ice/frost being used. You also see what I think is the emergence of a pyramid, which represents Kai and his superpower -- as part of EXOs storyline, all the members have a symbol that represents them. A pyramid is Kai's symbol and when you see a pyramid within EXO's storyline it represents something to do with Kai. I also find it interesting that Xiumin returned from the military about a month before this MV was released, and D.O. just returned from the military shortly after its release, so the end scene in "Mmmh" may be SM's way of connecting the events of this MV to D.O.'s and Xiumin's future solo work as well. If you analyse all the scenes within Kai's MV you would find connections can be made to EXO's storyline and things to do with past EXO MVs and probably even future MVs, as well as SuperM's storyline. Kai is also a member of SuperM, the Kpop industry's first Supergroup that is made up of members from EXO, SHINee and NCT/WayV. SuperM's concept is that they are "The Avengers of Kpop," and the members are supposed to be superhero-like characters who are coming together to form an Avengers-like group to help EXO defeat the evil Red Force. And, like the majority of SM's groups, all of their storylines and concepts intertwin and connect. For example, in SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV, you see Kai being chased by or being aided by drones as he tries to scale a building, in his attempt to stop the Red Force. So, I think the scene in "Mmmh," where you see him looking at the drones hovering around him, has something to do with connections between Kai's solo storyline and SuperM/EXO's MVs. Also, Kai means opening, as in a door or gateway, so as a member of EXO, Kim JongIn (Kai) was given the stage name Kai because, as the center of the group, he is supposed to be the member who connects everyone together and that is why he was given the ability to teleport. Plus, as part of EXO's storyline, it is thought that the members are traveling between dimensions and time periods throughout history in their quest to find the Tree of Life and to fix all the evil and corruption that is thought to be caused by the Red Force. So, it is thought that what you see in Kai's MV is him traveling between dimensions and across time periods in his search. That is why you see him in so many different locations and scenes in this MV. There is also a fan theory that the reason why we see Kai with so many different looks and styles in these scenes is because it's not always Kai that we are seeing. Another part of EXO's storyline is that some of the members have evil alter ego clones that have been created by the Red Force. (As we see introduced in EXO's "Obsession" MV.) So, some theories think that sometimes we are seeing Kai's evil X-EXO clone and other times we are seeing superhero, good EXO Kai. And that eye we see in this MV, although I am not sure what it means yet, I think it's connected to the eye we see in other SM MVs, such as EXO Lay's solo "Namanana" MV and aespa's "Savage" MV, and maybe even the eye symbol and closeup of the dragon's eye in Lay's solo "Lit" MV. And it even looks like it could be connected to the eye we see in SHINee Key's solo "Gasoline" and "Killer" MVs. The eyes all look slightly different, but I think they are supposed to be a symbol that connects something within the larger storyline of SM's SM Culture Universe. The eye might be what the evil forces -- such as the Red Force in EXO's storyline, or the Black Mamba or whomever the new villain is in aespa's storyline -- are using to spy on everyone within SM's SM Culture Universe, which could be a metaphor for how big brother government is always watching and is in control. It also could be why we see the EXO members smashing mirrors, surveillance cameras and TVs, etc. in EXO's "Coming Over" MV. (Everything SM does is part of one giant storyline like a huge graphic novel or mystery movie series.) All of the EXO members' first solo songs have something to do with the fact that they are members of EXO, and their MVs and songs show them using their powers. Xiumin's solo debut "Brand New" MV, shows him using his power of frost, D.O.'s MV for his solo debut song "Rose" shows him using his power of force, Baekhyun's debut album City Lights and MV "UN Village" talks about his power to control light, Suho's "Let's Love" MV shows him with his power to control water, and Kai teleports all over in his "Mmmh" MV. As the first EXO member to have a solo career, the majority of Lay's solo MVs tie into EXO's storyline as well. Unfortunately, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order. So, we fans have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of everything any of the members of EXO/SuperM are involved in to try and piece it all together and figure out where each part fits within their larger storyline. And the story isn't just limited to their MVs, but it extends to everything EXO is involved in, including teaser videos, live performances, concert VCRs and even a majority of their choreography. As you can see, EXO's and SM's Universe is extremely complicated and complex, and even the most expert of fans has trouble following the storyline. The thing is, none of us really know exactly what is happening in the story, it's all just fan theories and educated guesses. SM has never confirmed or denied any of our theories and they have left it completely up to fans to figure out what is happening and to create the story. (We only hope that someday SM will release the book or produce a movie that will explain the whole story, so we will know whether any part of our theories were correct.) "Mmmh" is the lead track on Kai's solo debut self-titled mini album, Kai, which came out in 2020. There are 6 songs on this album. To hear the rest of the songs, check out his epic "Film: Kai" video, which was created to give viewers a sample of all of the tracks on his album. If you think the choreography was good in the MV, just wait until you see Kai's dance practice video for "Mmmh." Once you see it without any cuts or edits, I think you will be even more impressed. As the main dancer of EXO, Kai is literally one of the top two BEST dancers in all of Kpop. And that's not just a fan's opinion, but it's a title given to him by his peers and the the industry as a whole. (Taemin from SHINee -- who happens to be Kai's best friend since trainee days, and is a fellow member of SuperM -- is the other top dancer.) There is literally no one better when it comes to dance in Kpop than Kai and Taemin. As you may remember, Kai's love for dance started with jazz and ballet. From a young age, he began training to become a ballet dancer. So he learned form and technique first before any other style of dance. That's why I think you can see such precision in his dancing. As a child, he fell in love with dancing after seeing the Nutcracker and he told his parents that he wanted to do that. So, his whole foundation with dance began with ballet. He says, that if he hadn't been bribed by his father to audition for SM Entertainment, and if he hadn't become a Kpop star, he probably would be a professional ballarino today. Kai became a trainee with SM when he was about 12 -- he debuted as a member of EXO when he was around 18 -- so he has been honing his skills and dedicating himself to become one of the best in the industry for years. And now, at 29, he has literally been recognized as one of the best of the best. Kai is a fashion icon and he is highly sought after by some of the biggest names and brands in fashion to be their model and brand ambassador, etc. He is also considered one of the sexiest Kpop idols, and he is known for his super sexy onstage personality. However, off stage his personality is the complete opposite, he becomes super shy and a little innocent, etc.

Both FILM:Kai are just brilliant, like art house films showcasing each track from the mini albums. Definitely one of my fav things Kai has done to promote his albums. The dance practices are insane and must be watched (for b-sides too!) I find them less dangerous than the MVs, like he is concentrating on the choreo and using less killing charisma?? Yes, the lightstick is notoriously bright; she's small but *MIGHTY* I've used it when I couldn't find a flashlight during a blackout; legit just set it up on my desk, and it decently lit up the room^.^ There have been massive misunderstandings caused by EXO-Ls at award ceremonies turning their lightsticks off to conserve battery (cause EXO was usually last, and we didn't want the batteries to run out in the middle of their performance). When EXO-Ls turned them off, it was instantly noticeable cause EXO-Ls made up such a large portion of the audience + the lightsticks are so bright & distinct~~~ So, EXO-Ls started carrying lots of extra batteries, and became known for giving them out (along with candy/snacks, small bottles of water, etc)^.^ Now you'll see posts from other fandoms after award ceremonies asking for EXO to go back to award ceremonies so EXO-Ls will come back, cause the audience feels empty without EXO-Ls (lots of posts talking about how EXO-Ls would cheer for other groups~)^.^

The ending: the rock landing is D.O''s power of Earth, strength, force....and the ice flakes are Xiumin's. Kai put that tidbit in to let Exol know that D.O. and Xiumin were about to get discharged from military and coming home. So those reactors who know that decyphered it in seconds and flipped their lid....me too. The first 2 to leave and come back as well. Thank you to the other Exo members who kept us beautifully fed with Exo content, whether group or solo, while they were away. The whole Obsession album and tour was successful, with only the 6 members who were at home and hadn't enlisted yet. And damned if it wasn't an incredibly anticipated comeback when the "Don't Fight The Feeling" song, mv and album came out, which was shortly after D.O. and Xiumin came home. Suho and Chen were enlisted by then, but I was thrilled to see D.O. and Xiumin again, fresh out of service. But the album came out right before Chanyeol and Baekhyun left for service, so it was sad knowing they would soon leave.. but the thrill was to see Exo members together again, singing and performing, especially D.O. and Xiumin....(they looked so good!) which we have been waiting to see for a few years....but Lay made an cameo! THANK YOU LAY! Something we have been waiting for! I wish Suho and Chen were in it though. No promotion for the album, just the one mv, but something we surely appreciate, because the group would be broken up again shortly after. And not until this recent "Exist" album are we blessed with most of the members together (Baekhyun in military but would shortly be back, Kai would suddenly enlist after this album dropped, and sadly without Lay) This "Exist" album shows the mature Exo, a bit spicy, but they sound amazing. 💙🌺

Yes, the light-stick (eribong) is blinding. Magic the Gathering! AHHH! The bane of my life! But back to Kai ... I understand what you mean about Kai transcending biases. From the very start, SM allocated the 'sexy member' (sorry) as being Kai and he has seriously grown into it. He gets that this is how he is seen and what many want from him. He's quite comfortable with Kai on stage and in front of cameras partly because he is so comfortable with Jongin off stage. Personally, it is his personality and the quality of his dance that I fell for, but you can't get away from how astonishingly attractive he is. His voice has always had that warmth, you'll hear it more in EXO b sides, yet he began with more hard hitting rap, so he has both. Kai and Chanyeol were the first two vocals and faces I recognised. Kai has done so much, but as the ultimate performer, you should brave the performance practices - the Mmmh one has a final touch that reminds you that he is a charming human being - as well as his concept films, Film: KAI, Film: Kai Rover and Vanilla Concept. Kai puts a huge amount of himself into his performances, he's ready to risk a lot, including his own money, to perfect his vision. He's a true artist.

8:50 I am pretty sure we are all thinking exactly the same thing 😂 Gender of the watcher doesn't matter either that is why there is a term called Kaisexual 😀 He has the ability to make any gender of people blush.. Kai is my bias so I can't be totally objective here but he really is on another level.. For me his aura and charisma on stage is unmatched..Plus he is talented and hot 😅 The thing about Kai's voice is that even though he is not a strong vocalist compared to rest of the members, he has a really unique tone.. Also I think he is a little insecure about his voice since he is in the same group with the best vocalists in kpop but if you pay attention he sings a lot better when he thinks people don't pay attetion to his voice, for example he sings many of the choruses in Exo songs and he uses a fuller, more confident voice when there are other members singing adlibs on top of his vocals.. Also his voice is a lot better when SM doesn't force him to use head voice and high notes a lot.. I really love his lower registers.. Kerry - if this was difficult don’t watch his Love Shot fancams 😂😂🥵 The dance practices are much less attacking & definitely worth watching because he really puts a lot of work into his dancing & the choreo is really really good 👍🏻

You should not pass up the dance practice for Mmmh...he is fully clothed still sexy but in a different way...please watch it as a reaction, if anything you will be blown away by his dancing skills as part of a full choreo with his dancers. He probably won't be a bias wrecker right away but you will definitely like him more as an amazing artist (and move him up slightly in your potential bias wrecker pole lol). Each member is incredibly talented and awesome and just shows the depth of talent EXO as group has. I would love more Kai reactions, to his Film: Kai & Film: Kai Rover along with his dance performances, "ICU" in particular and his "Spoiler" dance practices and of course his MV to Peaches...Thanks for getting to Kai 💗

Our lightsticks are BLINDING honestly. We’re famous for having a bright lightstick and during concerts, you can literally light up the whole place just from our lightstick. During blackouts here in my country, I use my eribong as a flashlight with how bright it is 😂

​@@alongfortheridereacts I remember sending a reply here and it's not up??? Oh well 😭 Yes, it's the SMTOWN app. I think you're gonna need to make an account first. After that, in the "homepage" (which just has videos) on the top right, there's a lightstick logo (with a star). Click it then at the top right again, click the settings button where you're going to find the EXO ver. 3. You click that, where you will be ask to turn your bluetooth on. After that go back to the app (the same way above) then click EXO ver. 3 and turn on your lightstick. It will have instructions there, where you will hold the power button of the lightstick to connect it with the app.
