@STEVOD3136 жыл бұрын
U could’ve took the steering link off from the other end of the rod, there’s a hole u can fit the hex driver in to re attach the steering link n then u wouldn’t have to fumble putting it back together

I just looked at mine n ya u could’ve disconnected from the bell crank

I'll keep the $20 Amazon servo. You can buy 5 of them & they're faster.

Exactly, that why I posted the question up top. Is this "just as good" as the Amazon ones or is it made my a reputable company? Anyone in the industry welcome to respond. Thank you

Servo horn should be att 1 o clock on Rustler 4x4 vxl
@CSL339 ай бұрын
Exactly, as apposed to the 12 o'clock position shown here, which is quite clearly depicted in the manuals. Same thing with the Slash 4x4 LCG. BTW, much easier if you just remove the screw to the linkage from underneath that goes to the servo horn BEFORE removing the front assembly from the chassis. (one screw that connects to the spring loaded bell-crank)

I recommend putting aluminum shock caps because in that very uneven sand most likely I think a shock would bend our the shock cap would come out, that has happened to my Rustler 4x4 vxl a lot. And nice 👍 video man
@ExocagedRC5 жыл бұрын
It’s got GTR shocks on it and so far I’ve had no issues. Thank you for watching bud.

Lockdown spinning well if you are having issues with the shock caps breaking or popping off, or the shock bending and breaking, then I would get some.

Lockdown spinning yeah I think 4x4s with a VXL will have problems with shocks.

I hope you read this and aswer. At 4.10 you say that you are puting the horn back on in the same posistion as on the stock, but look at it, the horn is of to the left on the stock and you put it on straight on the new servo. dosent that efect the steering?
@ExocagedRC5 жыл бұрын
The old servo arm wasn’t exactly in the center position in that clip. It moved a little. Usually the horn on any will be off by a tiny bit but steering trim can get it corrected.

I put a savox SC 1201mg in my ruslter 4x4 and I put a losi 22 aluminum servo horn on it and it works amazing and not too pricey at 55$.
@ExocagedRC6 жыл бұрын
Did you have to cut the horn down any?
@stpbasss37736 жыл бұрын
@@ExocagedRC no the losi 22 horn is the only one I've found that fit in my slash 2wd LGC chassis so I knew it would be a perfect fit for this rig, it's really short a hair shorter than the stock plastic one and I've used it on a couple rigs including my ecx barrage.

I asked on your other video as well . Does anyone know who is making these upgraded aluminum cased servos for Traxxas. They kinda look like rebranded savox but I can tell by the specs or the top of the casing.?
@ExocagedRC6 жыл бұрын
Copied and pasted. I honestly don’t think they are made by anyone other than traxxas, the reason I say that is they are big enough to have a servo made on their own and shouldn’t need to rebrand anything at this point.
@DB-qm4jx6 жыл бұрын
@@ExocagedRC right on thank you for the response. Im sure your right. They are so expensive I was wondering if we could get the "off brand " with the correct length leads.

$100 for that? It's slow as molasses too. My $20 Turnigy servo is like 240 oz., has metal gears and is twice as fast. I know you're trying to keep it "all Traxxas" but why pay a premium for inferior parts?
@ExocagedRC6 жыл бұрын
There are those out there that really want to keep their vehicle a certain brand so this will show them what’s available. As it sits right now with mine, all that is out and it’s in racer mode complete with Ebuggy wheels and tires. If I have time this weekend I’ll see if I can video it.

For bashing, its a waste of 💰. Just my opinion. Perhaps, spending 100bucks on rpm parts for strengthening suspension would be more advantageous. But, good video!

Traxxas should be charged for highway robbery $115 at my local hobbyshop for this turd with only 330oz/in at .19 speed, that's horrible speed for the price and the performance a joke. Go with a savox, protek, or even a jx eco boost servo and most of them are half the price and outperform the "traxxas" by a mile. Also exocage all 1/10 servos are "direct bolt in" dont be trying to push this turd on your viewers bro come on man.... good bash
@ExocagedRC6 жыл бұрын
The direct bolt in part is there because traxxas has a slightly wider bolt pattern and the Savox and other brand servos servos I’ve used required me either trimming the tabs or just picking a side and using large washers on the other side so for that reason these are a direct bolt in.
