You should be able to turn your speed up and down using the trim for that channel. A few guys I've met turn the trim up for winch-out for speed(timed events) and turned down for winch-in for better control.

Yep sure can. With a fast servo like the Solar D771 a slow in helps quite a bit as the line speed is about walking speed fast on 3S.

Maybe on the 3.0 version of this video he will show it installed to a rig and how its actually wired when using the same battery and receiver for both the drive motor and winch ESC. Basically- 1 battery. 1 receiver. 1 transmitter. 2 ESCs.

This is an old setup. But to fill you in…. This esc usually went into ch3 and that channel controlled the 1060 and thus the winch. It’s not complicated.

​@@ExocagedRCyou never show it on a vehicle in either video so maybe it's a new video idea? I don't think you can plug 2 BECs into one receiver (all three wires from one ESC). In that case you'd need to run 2 separate receivers or cut out some wires, not to mention many transmitters with a display only have a single momentary button on channel 3. Reversing would be annoying.

Are u not going to overpower your reciever. U will have 2 power supplies to it. Wont that burn it out like an external bec

if both power supplies are 6v it will just have more amps available to it. If both your winch esc and drive esc are have the same 6v output they seem to work fine like that. I've done these both ways, red wire removed from winch esc and red wire in and it really depends on the system you're setting up. Some of my friends use a 1060 for both drive and winch and they run them together with no issues at all. If you're running 7v to the system then absolutely yes remove the red wire from this esc.

I’ve got a horizon hobby dynamite cheapo esc. On 2s no problems but on 3s, it will put out 12v. I’ve tried to adjust every setting I can on my dx5 to lower the voltage. My concern is sending 12v to a servo winch rated at 7.4v max. Any suggestions?

Well you can set end points to slow it down but the pulse width still peak at battery volts. I’ve actually had really great luck with 3S on servos as winches.

Exocaged RC thanks for the info. I have been reluctant to wire it to the servo because I’m seeing 12.5v on the voltmeter. Correct me if I’m wrong, endpoints on my Futaba is what I’m accustomed to but I believe on my spektrum the endpoint is labeled as “travel”.

Are you running a separate battery or running it off the main battery
