Yeah and we don't want to be loosing pressure, that's just lost bass. I sealed mine up years ago and never had problems with air pressure. People told me I'd blow out the windows just closing the doors lol my system makes a lot more pressure than a closing door does

big part of the problem is the lc2i cuts off any bass below 33hz! great line out converter otherwise but not great for any lows sadly...

Within the first few seconds of the video, when I saw the LC2i, I thought the same thing. Very nice piece of equipment, but it does cut off the low lows.

I discovered Toyota has an obd-2 plug in that would let you change the headunit settings that you would lose installing an aftermarket one (for locks, lights, and the ability to enable remote window rolling, which is built into Toyotas/lexus and vws/audis that just needs to be enabled.) Volkswagen has one called obd-eleven that lets you do the same things

I sealed up most of the moisture flaps in my trunk. Self tapped a metal plate to cover them and then put sound deadened over it. I did end up drilling some holes in 1 side to relieve cabin pressure though.

Those vents main function is primarily to release cabin pressure when the doors are closed so they latch easily and don't require slamming the doors like some old cars need in order to get the doors latched fully.

So that Lc2i has a built in hpf at 33hz. The pro has one built in at 20hz. Switching to a headunit gained me a ton of lows!

There's only one head unit I use now and it's the pioneer one that uses your phone as the screen. Simply because it has a great custom equaliser and filters. Makes any stereo sound great. I even use it on my party box 😂😂

I sealed the trunk vent on a car I had and it made the Air conditioner fan slow down when I closed the door and the door was harder to close but it did help a lot

The vents in the boot/trunk are to allow the air to flow through your vehicle when the heater is on and windows closed, without them, a mild pressure would build and terrible airflow from the heater

There is no substitute for cone area. The smaller the cone the greater the excursion required to produce the lowest frequencies at a given volume. The greater excursion of smaller cones makes them move a greater distance (hence faster) to keep pace with the music and thus increases harmonic distortion. Two ten inchers offer the same cone area as a single 14" woofer which is plenty for a car interior.
