Exodar - Music & Ambience - World of Warcraft

Once a satellite structure of the mighty Tempest Keep, the dimensional craft known as the Exodar was used by a group of draenei to escape their perilous home on Outland. After departing the shattered draenei world, the Exodar appeared above northern Kalimdor when a spectacular explosion ripped open the skies. The great vessel impacted on the shores of Azuremyst Isle, which has since become home to Outland’s refugee draenei. Following their dramatic landing, the draenei have utilized the remains of the Exodar to great effect, transforming it into a base of operations for their dealings on Azeroth.

So true, just like Darnassus. Im on a low population server and when I go to Darnassus 99% of the time I'm the only one there. I remember when it used to have a big of activity, not like Stormwind but it was still active. I don't even like to go now because they switched the music to the sad one from the war of the thorns.

Hypegreene I agree with you about the music part, I mean it being switched to a sad one instead. When I was playing my mag'har orc shaman in the Sourhern Barrens I've switched it by listening to the original music on KZbin.

@@krukblood-axe3649 it's okay, not everyone likes perfection and magical places+music 😛 WotLK was the beginning of the "end" tho, just saying. Everything changed after it. And my main realm became empty in WotLK, so if I judged solely on personal experience (like you probably do, you can't really dislike the art of TBC.....), it'd be miles behind TBC. Love them both though. That's why I'll try to stay there forever when the lvl squish comes (fk endgame bs and gearing the same char over and over just to make it usable). Hopefully they won't kill twinking completely.

Azuremyst Isle and the Exodar are two very good and professional pieces of meditation music. Writing soundtracks for games, good movies and animations is an art that surpasses making any other kind of music and it doesn't apply only to WOW.

Nah, it's shit! User interface is terrible, (no help whatsoever, not even a tutorial!) there's no flying mounts, there's no soundtrack, healing takes forever, and there's absolutely no magic! If there is, we're all OOM and can't do shit anyway. Also, it seems REALLY frowned upon if you go off and collect a dozen heads and then expect to get paid for it. People really seem to freak out for some reason... How am I supposed to make a killing in life, if killing is frowned upon? :P Makes lvling and gold production VERY difficult! This RL game sucks! Graphics are top notch though, gotta admit! Feels like you're really there! :P

A very talented KZbin composer who's done a ton of amazing musical pieces over the years in all kinds of different styles, but mostly with fantasy or norse mythology inspired themes. After years watching your videos while playing Hearthstone, I finally started playing WoW as a druid a few weeks ago. Yesterday I went to The Exodar through the portal in the Temple of Elune, excited to finally visit and listen to the music of one of my favorite zones. It was one of the most beautiful experiences in my gamer's life. When I stepped outside to the Azuremist Isle, I was met with the amazing view of the port, while the track at 13:33 started to play, and tears started to fill my eyes. I’ve lost great amounts of time wandering the world of Warcraft. Having stopped playing All games for over 4 years now I can easily say WoW was certainly the single greatest Gaming experience I’ve had. Mostly in the beginning as a young kid when every moment was Filled with wonder, amazement, adventure and false purpose. The music accounts for much of the atmosphere, and beauty of the game. Though I will never go back to gaming and certainly not WoW as I’ve grown past it and will never experience the wondrousness of games as a child would, I can certainly say that I will enjoy the beautiful soundtrack for as long as I live.

WoW music has always been an outlet for me when times are hard. There's a true joy to it, a real sanctuary. I have always felt that when I'm old, I hope to be able to get a hold of this music and just escape back. That's... a difficult question to answer. I usually work on a whole lot of things at once, jumping between different projects and ideas. So right now I have maybe 10-20 videos planned, some of them are nearly done and all I need is to render them out. Others are nothing but a folder with a few audio tracks inside. Next World of Warcraft ambience video is gonna be Naxxramas. I think.

It says something when early WoW graphics were awe inspiring. You could look at a screenshot of it and think, "This is amazing." I look at the pan overs in this video and think, "Jeez, that did not age well." A shame Blizz never reinvested in the BC starting zones, show some progress, update the textures and polygons a bit. Now that Blizz has probably halted all development on WoW with their colossal scandal, I doubt we'll ever get to see that. Not to mention how Shadowlands homogenized the starting experience for everyone regardless of race.

Caverns of Time is interesting, but I have no idea what kind of video I should do with it. I don't want to combine all of the dungeons and raids music because it's all very different, but the Caverns themselves has, like, three tracks. Probably will make a 20 minute video or something along those lines in the future. I have plans on doing a few smaller ones anyway, I will add Caverns to that list.

My suggestion for you is to make an ambience called Lordaeron that contains old hilsbrad music, culling the stratholme (maybe some music from warcraft 3?)... you know, something that would give listener the chills of being in an old kingdom of Lordaeron. Anyway, you make a very good job and your music so far had brighten most of my work hours. Not to mention nostalgia for once being an adventurer in our beautiful warcraft universe.

this is so relaxing to listen to. it really helps me focus while i do my homework. i usually start off at the eversong woods video, then end up at a completely random video that wasn't made by everness, which im able to tell because the quality/style is different, so i backspace to your channel LOL these videos also help the time pass by SO FAST while im doing homework. sometimes ill click on one and hear it end and be like WTF its been an hour already?? when im done doing homework, even in high school it was so refeshing to exit out of all the windows/tabs/software. its still the case my senior year of college, but now i have the extra feature of pressing the back arrow to see how many everness videos i studied through LOLL

I'll try to provide an alternative at some point in the near future! That being said, Exodar ambience was very... sparse. I've seen a whole bunch of apps/services for ambient drones and white noise type of soundscapes. I recommend checking some of them out, maybe you'll find something suitably meditative.

Thank you! For many older videos I was using a third-party software called Free Far Sight. It allowed me to detach the camera from my character and move it around freely, change field of view, set up a waypoint system, etc. Programs like this are against ToS, strictly speaking, but the main problem was the maintenance. So it stopped being supported sometime around the end of Warlords of Draenor. There is a number of ways you can achieve something similar, but I chose to focus on the sound side of these videos. Pretty postcard-style visuals are just a bonus.

You can use older versions of said program on private servers. You can set up your own server and achieve the same results. You can export the entire in-game world into a model viewer and essentially recreate the zones this way. With high enough programming skill you can reverse engineer already existing solutions (Free Far Sight, for example, is/was open source) to use with the modern game client, or make a program like that from scratch. Personally, I don't think the amount of time and effort needed for any of it is worth it. Even the easiest way, recording footage on a private server, comes with a plethora of roadblocks. But it depends on your needs of course.
