Exodus vs Dragon Age: the Veilguard - Original Mass Effect Team's new Sci-Fi epic!
Exodus: Become the Traveler is an upcoming Sci-Fi, Third Person Shooter being worked on by Archetype Entertainment, a company started by ex-developers from Bioware. Drew Karpyshyn who wrote Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 is the lead writer on Exodus: Become the Traveler and a lot of the original Bioware developers are working on this.
Recently, a new trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard released and not everyone was satisfied with it, because of the graphic style. It looked more cartoonish and resembled Fortnite which is not what Dragon Age fans were expecting. Dragon Age is being made by Bioware, the company that originally made Mass Effect and the previous Dragon Age games. This company have deviated away from what the Dragon Age fans wanted from Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Archetype Entertainment on the other hand, have aimed a game right at the orignal fans of Bioware and Mass Effect.
With Dragon Age: The Veilguard releasing later this year, I thought I would make a video talking about Exodus, and how that game might succeed where Bioware and Dragon Age might fail. Exodus doesn't have a release date yet, but I can't wait to see what Exodus and Archetype Entertainmet can do. If they pull this off, Exodus is the safety net for us Bioware fans that aren't happy with the latest Dragon Age entry.

Mass Effect 2 :D Collectors base final it's a peak of any sci-fi action game ever. edit: Although I am cautious, but curious about Exodus, I've got lot of vibes from Andromeda here. It may be PTSD after playing it (if you don't look at dialogs and other Gen Z style features it's a nice mediocre action game, without any of great narrratives any Mass Effect showed. I wonder what's going on with Mass Effect 5 that's still cooking.

If I have to pick 1, it's Baldur’s Gate 1. But for me are on the same level of awesomeness: BG1, BG2, the Mass Effect Trilogy as a collective and Dragon Age Origins.

😂😂😂, aye, the gameplay looked okay to me but that trailer was unusual. Hope they both do well but I think Exodus can have an edge... If they stick the landing.

AAA game implies there is a very large budget and I tried to look up who's their cooperate overlord and it's Wizards of the Coast, so yeah, don't get too excited

Veilguard isn't "Fortnite-y", it's literally just the trailer that gave that vibe. The actual gameplay looks just like Inquisition, but more advanced.

@Metaphysicist Of course they do, but the saying "don't judge a book by it's cover" exists for a reason. Though, it doesn't help when videos like this one give out these false impressions to people so that fewer end up giving it a chance.

@MatConlon My biggest point of contention isn't aesthetics, it's that for the second time Bioware has abonded the storyline I wanted to pursue.

Soon enough exodus will be seen as threat; if they can bring what no man sky was suppose to bring on launch(doing great now) and more on that point, something like The expanse but at the same time not close to it, the intensity of interstellar which you can already see it has from some of the cinematic trailers, mass effect, what starfield was supposed to be if it had good developers running it, some of star citizen is trying to be if it knew what it wanted exactly then this game may be the biggest sci-fi game ever.

Yeah, big open goal for Exodus. Been a while since we've had a superb space game. No man's sky is awesome but I want a story driven game to satisfy me now. 😂😁

I just hope Exodus, works on the player models a bit more, because the cinematic trailers looks like a mixture of Dishonored/Fortnite. But again i need to see some gameplay before i make my decision.

Original team means nothing. B4B and Calypso Protocol come to mind as prime examples. Overhypping Exodus might also cause more harm than good.

I see where you are coming from. I am an rpg veteran, back since the days of Interplay and Black Isle. Am I wrong to wish both Veilguard and Exodus to succeed? Call me crazy, I still have faith in Bioware.

Yeah! They poached a lot of people from Bioware. The ones they "wanted to work with.' The writer for Mass Effect 1 and 2 is the lead writer on this. 😁

Aye, not involved in this. James Ohlen hired everyone he "wanted" involved in Exodus haha. He grabbed Drew Karpyshyn so that's why I'm mainly excited for this.

Veilguard... looking like a discount generic video game. Exodus looks like it could be interesting. Mostly it feels as if Exodus is willing to take a gamble, while Veilguard is being produced by Pie Charts, Graphs, and one executive meeting that had them throw every idea they thought was popular or would 'tend' with the social medias... and forgetting that a game needs to be a PRODUCT for people to buy rather than AN ADVERTISEMENT for virtue signaling.

After seeing the new dragon age… All I can say is I no longer have hope for Bioware when this game fails, mass effect most likely will never come out good riddance to the alphabet trash of a game!
