Interesting. Shinzen young has made it possible for me to do this kind of meditation. I was averse to the kind of "flat Zen" he refers to, though I could not have explained it as he has. I find it hard, this meditation, but confronted with inescapable pain what is the alternative except to contract away from it and die in a suffering state! Much better to learn to metabolize the pain and gradually learn to not resist it, thus gaining freedom from suffering.

This is an excellent heads-up about an interpretation of and practise with impermanence that is affectively POSITIVE to the practitoner. If you gag at the "life is suffering" kind of Buddha-ism . . . then the U Bha Khin somatic practise shows you how to access and dwell in an energetic PRESENCE that is affectively totally unlike the NOTHINGNESS that is usually aimed for in Buddhism.

Sir , Anichca is not impermanent , Around 400 ac in Sri lanka buddhagosa (Brahmin who later turned into a monk) wrote a book call Vissudimagga to explain contents in the Tripitaka. Since Buddhagosa wasnt an enlightened monk and just merely a translator, he translated anichcha with a different meaning due to his brahamin ideas. Ani+iccha and Pati + ichcha words which have somewhat opposite meaning. Meaning of ichcha has the meaning wish, desire . meaning of anichcha is "not lasting things according to your desire" , pati +ichcha is "clinging to things because of the desire ". Even i go to know about it recently.
