"New Building With Old Stuff"...I went there twice in 2021. These new pictures seem to be a tremendous upgrade. Your recommendations for technology on a $3M price tag makes sense, but it does look much better than 2021. Peace and Blessings
@champion4000
@champion4000 9 ай бұрын
Exactly, anyone who complains about the price tag has probably not built or project managed a big building recently. Disappointing that the focus of this video is not on the great man's legacy but the price tag and technology. Do we not have enough technology everywhere else? A bit like going to Versailles or Louvre and complaining about lack of TVs/holographs.

Greetings Expat Life Ghana, another excellent episode. Dr. Kramer Nkrumah was-is one of the many black Messiahs who came to this planet in the flesh to free his people and the world from the tyranny of the devil and his/her people. The struggle against the devil and his-her tyranny exist to this very day in many forms. Example: The 3 billion dollar structural adjusted IMF loan to Ghana, totally unfair and unequal. The struggle continues! Thanks for sharing.

I can’t share the total but it’s worth it. Pls go for the old blue and this new and get new and just sit down and try and work it how much it will cost.

A balanced reporting of events needs to be presented anytime Nkrumah as president is discussed. As pointed out earlier in some comments above Kwame Nkrumah exercised his brand of reign of terror later during his time in office, throwing into jail some in the opposition and also the average citizen on the street even said by his “verandah boys” = overzealous & naive youth to have made an unfavorable remark about him. Acknowledging this every time he is discussed is no détraction from his tonnes of achievements
@awula5385
@awula5385 9 ай бұрын
Reign of Terror. Really? When the opposition kept attempting to assasinate him you expect no response? They went as far to put a bomb in the flowers a little girl presented to him officially when he arrived at an event in the North. He was injured and she lost her leg. Every industry we have in Ghana started under Nkrumah except the oil which was discovered after he was out of power. I guess the corruption, mismanagement and theft we have now is what you consider to be a better alternative. The great Nkrumah has a name that stands alone.

I love your content and have been with you from the beginning of your channel. Your discussion this episode sparked an interest in me. If you're opened to it, l'd like to see your sons interview some of their peers on the street with short multiple choice or yes/no, true/false questions about all things Ghana. Show them a picture of a great Ghanian for example to see if they can recognize it, ask about music, culture etc. I am very curious how many young people know their history or even current events. Too much is being westernized and lost thanks to some social media platforms. Just a thought!

Thanks for sharing. I wish we would enjoy good things for what they are and stop looking for faults even when none exists. There are private houses selling for millions of dollars and people want to complain about a whole museum honouring the great Kwame Nkrumah? Also being disappointed because there isn't more technology or bling? Maybe they want a more solemn place where people can take it all in without distractions.

Yes, I've also noticed that Expat Life and wife are getting more and more critical, finding fault with just about everything. Having studied and lived in the West for decades, I can tell you that peaceful Ghana is FAR better to live in, than the US. I left behind widespread crime, racism, social inequalities, a crooked justice system, extortionate health costs, STRESS, broken family systems, a devastating narcotics epidemic, and polarized societies, in the West. Contrary to popular belief, quality of life is not determined by infrastructure or technology. No wonder thousands and thousands are relocating from the West, to Ghana. Those who prefer the violence, racism, and dysfunction of the West, can always go back, in my humble opinion.

The byword is corruption! Plus, the irony here is that, the forebears of those who supervised the renovation, thereby appropriating his name for ill gain, are those who overthrew him. They were very instrumental as well as home grown awareness. Things ramped up after World War 2 when the veterans returned home and started agitating for self government. Sergeant Adjetey and three other veterans were fired upon by the colonial government during a peaceful protest. So there was a definite movement in Ghana and around Africa which also inspired Nkrumah. There was the famous May May uprising in Kenya to name one of the several movements in Africa for self determination.
