Ave is so pretty. I was curious watching her adjust her glasses, and I checked: they do have LASIK in the Philippines for 50,000 pesos at St Lukes' in Manila with five star rating if her condition can be treated with LASIK. Just an FYI. That's about half price from average treatment in the USA. Great to see you loving life.

As our family of 5 (and maybe one additional child) gets ready for our move to Puerto Princesa area, my budget is 95,000 Pesos per month --- but the one great uncertainty for us is the rent. Could you please suggest to me some additional vlogs of expats that have videos on you tube to watch and glean information? Again, thanks for your content. Your wife and family are adorable and you are BLESSED. (Many vlogs from Dumaguete but have not found many from Palawan.)

Thanks, very interesting.I just got back to back $200 utilities over here. Ran AC too much and hot shower and TV all night with internet too and big screens. Goal now is to get down below $100 total. The rest is plenty cheap like $1.25 for food on the street. And cheap noodles etc. Fruit a little high sometimes not too. Hahahha, best wishes. PV

Yep, noticed the new cut on Ave, before you mentioned it. Good to see you back. We never heard Ave's story, other than how you met her and about her home town. There are millions of recipes online so there's no way you run out of ideas. He's not a regular youtube vlogger, he's a part time TV ad model too, why not submit your portfolio to an ad agency there, might land as part time model too casted as a Boss, a Dad, a sportsman LOL ! My income per month is 1,400 USD per month via pension. Do you think that would be enough for Puerto Princesa. I am a 49 year old Filipino American that can cook. I am single with no dependents. I hope to cook and eat more fish and vegetables.
@Suitstoshorts7 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, that will be plenty depending on the lifestyle you just described. It will carry a long way. You will be able to find a nice place to rent, eat out if you want, pay utilities, and still have some play money. If you have any specific questions feel free to email me at cchamb22@gmail.com

Great info! It would be good if you also put it down in a board or paper that we can freeze and exam the different cost you spoke of. Very good info to get a idea what expenses would be like. I think for us Americans it's not bad but the normal Filipino family it may be alot.

Pretty high for food and entertainment expenses. Internet is a good place to look for recipes. Abe can start learning on how to cook from simple to culinary dishes. But if you're happy with your monthly expenses then all is well for everybody. When I was living in the Philippines I never learned on how to cook for I have someone cooked for me, but when I came here in the states 27 yrs ago I learned to do everything for myself and that starts with cooking. Glad you're okay guys, was wondering what happened to you.

Two quick questions. In terms of kidnappings, is Palawan safe? I am not sure if Palawan is included in the State department notice, or if it is the water off the tip of Palawan and further south. Secondly, I am traveling with my wife to the Philippines for the first time, and most likely we will have to settle there. How often do you see solar power through the Philippines?
@Suitstoshorts8 жыл бұрын
Hello, I have never felt unsafe during my time here. However, I have heard people say that expats should not go to the southern part of Palawan. They have a few Solar stores here in the city so my assumption is that there is a market here for that. Hope this helps. If you visit Palawan please let us know.
