You did not mention that Coron is a diving paradise. It is one of the best places I have dived. There are dozens of Japanese navy shipwrecks sunk by the US in the World War 2. and resting at a depth of 30-50 meters. The wreck dives here is one of the best in the world., plus many superb island dives and the volcanic (crater) lake dive on the hill that you folks climbed. I found a 2-3-meter-long grouper hiding in one of inner cabin of a warship. Coron is indeed a great place.

Nicely done. I liked that you included some higher end bars and restaurants as places to see what I can knowing I won’t be at the lowest budget. I know the pictures endure and prices don’t but it would be nice bonus if you added a condo tour or two to see what 2x or 3x your minimum budgets can look to be.

Hello i agree with you on nearly everything except for one, the grocery budget. You said that on the cheap side but it looks very steep that. It translate to roughly 18k pesos. That is a lot of money for two on a budget groceries. I live in canada and it equates to 451 cdn which i do not consider a budget grocery. I roughly spend 160-200cdn every two weeks here for two. And Philippines is way cheaper than Canada and US. Thanks for the informative video.

Does Coron have walkable sand beaches, or do you need to take a boat and island hop to surrounding islands to get that? Most of the photos in this vid seem to show cliffs directly to water without any real "beach" for nice walks?

Great video. Question, how do you deal with the natural disaster, such as yearly storms?
@arnieljovero10082 жыл бұрын
Filipinos deal with it naturally, you have to live with it. It is anatural phenomenon. Just live with it. Do not let it ruin your happiness in living. Be resilient like Filipinos. Japan and Philippines have earthquakes nearly everyday but they continue living. Furthermore I think Palawan is not a typhoon, earthquake and not volcanic probe areas. As per geography they are similar to North Borneo and once connected to Asia. Thanks

@@kylengkyleng yes strong structures and maybe some stock of necessities. It seems you are in a doomsday scenario mode or paranoia and fear mode. I was in paranoia and fear mode for the last 2 years because of covid and it ruined my life, health and mental. I do not want that to happen to me again. You cannot predict when it will strike. Los Angeles, Philippines and Japan has been saying for years the big one (earthquake) is coming but we do not know when it will come. Be prepared is the best thing but not in a doomsday fashion. Do not leave in fear same as me. Thanks again.

If you want to live in a cooler place in the Philippines, then stay away from coastal areas. Places like the Benguet, Tagaytay, Malaybalay Bukidnon, there’s a part of Davao, Baguio as well, Ifugao province is much colder than Baguio
@arnieljovero10082 жыл бұрын
If you have no worries with your health Baguio is the best bet. If you have worries with your health Tagaytay is the best as it is near metro manila and best hospital and doctors are in metro manila. Furthermore the food shopping is great as they have foodstuff all over the world. There are beaches and divsites near Tagaytay, in Batangas, Mindoro plus airport is near to travel to different parts of Philippines.

How do you go about health insurance?
@VagabondAwake2 жыл бұрын
Great question yinyang2204, I have one report where I explain what I do about health care and another where I show you how I search for health insurance. What I do about health care: vagabondbuddha.com/two-biggest-risks-of-retiring-early-overseas/ Report where I search for health insurance: vagabondbuddha.com/best-health-insurance-for-ex-pats-in-philippines/ By the way, once you search for health care you will start seeing more offers for health insurance and travelers insurance when you are online. Health insurance is one of the most dynamic or changing industries in the travel world because so many people around the world are deciding to live or retire outside their home country. So do a search every year before you renew to make sure you have the best available for your personal circumstances because new ones come out every few months. Thanks for asking so I could answer this for many people! Dan

❤ Such monthly estimates are valid if you a) decide to never see your family and friends again (no flights to your home country are budgeted), b) you never have a sore throat or get sick in any way for the rest of your life, c) you live in the Philippines illegally (the substantial cost of visas is not mentioned), d) you refuse to pay any income tax in your home country, e) you don’t ever visit the local gals in the massage or red light houses, f) you refuse to help the family of your Filipina girlfriend (and decline to listen to her requests for jewelry or nice clothes), g) you decide to never go traveling anywhere, and so forth. To get a more realistic idea of how much it would cost you to live here permanently, you could do worse than to multiply their costs by two.
