Hey guys! If you found this comparison review helpful, and you wanna buy either the Exped or Dreamer, please consider supporting this channel by using my affiliate links to Amazon/REI in this comment: ➡ Exped (Amazon): amzn.to/443QEZ3 ➡ Exped (REI Co-Op): bit.ly/44pdgCR ➡ REI Dreamer (REI Co-Op): bit.ly/3r33sQx There is absolutely NO cost to you at all if you buy anything, but it gives me a small commission so that I can continue buying and testing all this camping gear 😊 🙏 Thank you so much! @@CampingGuidance I think I saw the sea to summit comfort light for a few seconds in this video, but I don't think you uploaded a review for that one yet. Got any plans to?
@CampingGuidance2 жыл бұрын
Hi Aaron! Thanks for the reply :) That's actually the Sea to Summit Camp Self-Inflating Mat, not the Comfort Light. I really like it, but unfortunately I won't be posting videos on pads at the moment, I'm focusing on clearing a few tents that I have. So sorry about that, but I do hope to do a review on that in the future :)

I ended up buying the Exped double and I’m sooo happy with it! Thank you. I got mine on sale 40% off for the double wide 52x76 for $240. Something to consider is Exped has a great warranty

@@CampingGuidance Awesome so far. It is not to hard to deflate and is way more comfortable then any air mattress I've used over the years. Have you tried the 7.5 yet? Is that better for smaller people?
@CampingGuidance Жыл бұрын
That’s great to hear!! I’m really happy that it’s been working out for you. And I know right?! After using air mattresses the Exped was a dream come true 🤣 and I haven’t tried the 7.5 yet! I may get to that next time when updating my videos. But I think it’s quite a bit thinner so it may be a downgrade from the 10, unless you need something a little bit more compact!

Love your videos so much! SO THOROUGH! I would love to see a video comparing a couple dupes from Amazon to these pads. My partner and I will be getting the Exped for our car camping set up, but I’m thinking of getting an amazing dupe for a smaller one for just me when car camping with friends. I’m curious what your thoughts on those would be. I really respect your opinions with how much you put things to the test! Keep it up! 🙌🏻💛

Hi Hannah, thank you so much for your kind words, it really means a lot and I appreciate it so much! :) I'm really happy that you found these videos helpful! I hope you and your partner enjoy the Exped as much as I have, and thank you for the idea on comparing some dupes from Amazon! I've never thought of that actually. Unfortunately I don't really have the time to do the testing at the moment, but may I know which one you're looking at? :)

@@CampingGuidance Coming from Australia, I wanted to find something for my wife and I to sleep on comfortably whilst tent camping. After many reviews I was tossing up between the Sea to Summit Ether light XT insulated and Exped MegaMat. One being ultra light, one not. This didn't concern me being a four wheel driver and some extra weight would not be an issue. I heard many people having issues with the noise of the Sea to Summit, so started leaning towards the Exped. Many more reviews later, I was still liking the Exped over the S2S, I watched another video you done that was comparing it against 9 other mats, and it seemed to shine in all categories, noise, comfort, bounce, feel, so along was this video above, I was sold and just purchased 2 Exped MegaMats. Couldn't be happier with my decision. Thank you for confirming everything I thought about it :)
@CampingGuidance2 жыл бұрын
@@jcproductions007 Thank you so much for sharing with me, and I'm really glad that I could help you out with your decision 😊 Since you're not concerned too much about extra weight, I think you definitely made the right choice in getting the Exped MegaMat! It's definitely the most comfy mattress I have so far, and I hope you love it as much as I have 😊 If you have time, I would love to hear your experience with it! 😊

I can't comment on the megamat myself, but I own and have used the dreamer double. She briefly touches on needing to align the valves perfectly, but sometimes, no matter what they do, they will just leak. This seems to be a design flaw with the valves and not simple manufacturing error as most of the reviews you'll see online will mention this problem. Every single time I have used it, I have woken up on the ground. It holds full inflate for maybe 4-6 hours. Due to the foam padding inside the mat, it's still more comfortable than a simple foam mat I was using before, but it's definitely a shock considering this mat (which I also got on sale for 40% off) is still two to three times more expensive than simple foam mats. So as I said, I can't comment on the megamat myself but everything I've read about it says it's much better quality than the dreamer, and I'm kicking myself for not just spending the extra money on something that will last

@Syamix Bageris Hi there, thank you so much for sharing! Could I ask whether you got the newer version of the REI with the screw on caps? I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience with the REI. Hopefully one day you could upgrade to the Exped, it is a lot better, and I've used it for weeks at a time without ever needing to re-inflate :)
@SyamixBageris2 жыл бұрын
@@CampingGuidance I do have the newer version. It's such a shame too cus the mattress is fairly comfortable when fully inflated, at least compared to other mats I've used (this is my first self inflating mat). It would be perfect for my needs if it just stayed inflated through the night, I wouldn't even mind having to top it off before bed each time! I'm definitely planning to save up for the Exped for next summers camping trips.
@CampingGuidance2 жыл бұрын
@Syamix Bageris Oh man that's really such a pity, I'm really sorry again about your less than ideal experience :( I hope you get the Exped eventually! It's actually more comfortable and plusher than the REI. I'm still using my Exped to this day, while I've totally ditched the REI Dreamer hahaha XD Maybe you could also check out REI Used Gear? They usually will sell used Expeds for quite a significant discount, so hopefully that could help 😊

@@CampingGuidance yeah sis, expensive but so very worth it! Damn, that price conversion 😂😂 must be Canada lol. That’s so expensive… but hell, to be honest with anyone if you have the funds go for the Exped… in the long run you’ll be happier that you did…. I mean you’re car camping, who doesn’t want maximum luxury? Also I have a bad back… paramedic, a drunk crashed into us and left my partner and I for dead. So my back and knees thank me 😂🤣.
