We bought this as the base sleeping system in our adventure van, and it works great for our purpose. We have a parking heater, so we didn't need anything rated down too cold, but being in a bag (as opposed to just down quilts) is definitely more comfortable in chilly weather. I liked the larger size, just a bit bigger than queen bed. I also like the straight rectangular shape, and absence of head pouch, both of which make it more like home setup. There are no internal obstructions, secondary blankets, etc. to tangle in. It also has zippers on both sides which makes for better 2-person access. I think this bag is perfect for car camping, RTT camping, etc. where you want a home-like setup. Not really recommended as the primary source of sleeping warmth for backpacking.
